These were provided by poster Jimmy 23.
So, you "hope" there's no clause but yet you're already defending it in case there is one. I like Canelo but his fanboys... Lol
Kovalev was officially re-hydrating to 188 and 189 when he hit his prime about 4 years ago. We're to believe he's gone down 9lbs in his mid 30's.

This is just what boxing is, boxing fans are FICKLE...Correction INTERNET Boxing Fans! So they will always look for excuses and reasons to discredit a fighter but it is nothing personal. Same thing happened to the fighters before Canelo
But some of these guys (and we all know who they are) don't say a thing about Golovkin or Lomachenko's recent opponents. It's only certain fighters who have to go above and beyond and even then it's still never good enough.

Why are your dragging in other arguments? You talk about internet fans while using classic internet fan tactics.

Rehydration is an important subject and I'd like to think we can look for the facts (which haven't been released as far as I can tell) without people trying to suppress discussion about rehydration.

Yeah this is true as well, it is a blatant double standard from some on this forum for sure

My Point Exactly! This is what people do especially on this forum. Internet Boxing Fans have a way of not staying on Topic it will always be something to B#TCH ABOUT!

I'm simply pointing out what is starting to circulate and what people will jump on if they don't have "Catchweight" or "Re-Hydration" Clauses to discredit Canelo on

I'm tempted to ignore media on this one and just try to enjoy the fight ignorantly. He is still getting in the ring with someone who has legitimately killed someone in the ring, I kinda don't want all the nonsense to cast a pall over it before we even know the details for certain.

I believe Canelo can't catch a break regardless. He's become too polarizing. Seems to happen to top stars so he's in that Mayweather, Pacquiao air where people have decided whether they like him or not and everything he does will either be all good or all bad.

I've always just been pretty unbiased about the guy. Sometimes I'm defending, sometimes criticizing. I do want to know if there's a clause as I think that majorly affects Kovalev.

The tweet says nothing, not a single word if there is a rehydration clause or not, if there is one, you can bet that Team Kovalev gets paid extra money and is not allowed to talk about it and it will be pure luck if it will ever be revealed, most probably just after the fight. Kovalev is done, he almost got knocked out by a total novice in his last fight and he cant even regenerate and take a break at his age being forced to go to camp right again.

You people probably are somewhat ******ed. The numbers are out there. Canelo is a 7:1 favorite. Canelo vs GGG and Canelo vs Callum Smith are both 50/50 matchups. There's a reason Canelo ducked these matchups and chose Kovalev, the weakest and most vulnerable guy out there with a name.

Super middleweights rehydrate over 180, which is why Canelo put a 178lb hydration limit on Rocky ****ing Fielding.

But yeah, Kovalev only hydrates five pounds, and Canelo wouldn't **** him over because he's not as much of a threat as Fielding was.
