Not 1 poster had mentioned that ggg has a new trainer, that could also put a whole new spin on the 3rd fight
Why Don't You Wanna See Canelo GGG 3? & Who's The Better Fighter Of The Two?

I don’t really believe Canelo’s decision to fight or not fight Golovkin has anything whatsoever to do with his personal feelings for him. I believe he’s still too much risk and he can’t leverage any sort of advantage on the scale.Comment

I think GGG won the first fight but barely lost the second. I want a third fight. I do think Canelo is legitimately better. His speed gave GGG a hell of a lot of problems in the second fight. GGG's insane heart made what was looking like a white wash into a real dogfight.
At this point, it’s too close to call. Conventional wisdom would dictate the younger fighter having the advantage. If it was a prime ggg, he edges the version of canelo he faced. The fact that it was decided by the slimmest of margins with a clearly past prime ggg tells me who the better of the 2 is.
... because GGG was happy enough to take that big "Canelo money" in the 1st and the 2nd fights... and because he didn't attempt to do anything "dramatic" in those two fights -- waiting for even more money in the "trilogy"...
... I can understand "business decisions", but I only like truthful and all-in boxing fights...
1. Have his representatives respond to that IBF letter
2. Agree to & actually fight Demetrius Andrade.
3. Fight Jermall Charlo
He did none of the above so although I think Derevyanchenko immediately getting a 2nd mandated title shot from the jump is pure politics. Canelo had opportunities to keep his belt if he really wanted to.
Almost not 1 poster answered the original question either.Comment

I've seen many times "I don't want/need to see a 3rd fight". But I rarely if ever seen why? I'm sure people that have commented & voted in this thread have said this & damn near no one answered why they don't wanna see. The education system has failed the NSBC.
THE QUESTION STILL REMAINS FOR ALL YOU PEOPLE SAYING YOU DON'T WANNA SEE A 3RD FIGHT. WHY ARE YOU SAYING THAT⁉⁉🤔Comment

I am ok without a 3rd fight. While I will watch it and the first 2 where entertaining and the next one could be more entertaining watching Canelo put even more hurt on ggg. That is a trade of with hearing yet more crying from triple b-side pulling his diva act, more bad sportsmanship watching him run from the ring post fight, hearing all 27 of his fans make excuses about how the boxing writers totally had it for BBB-side or how it was Vegas or how Venus was not in proper alignment or what ever else excuses they can come up with.Comment

Most unbiased fans know at worse GGG should be 1-0-1 in the 2 fights.
Golovkin was the champ and deserves a rematch.
For all the BS diva fans spout, they never mention how the diva, beat up and gassed, was the guy with his back against the ropes and trying to hold in the late rounds of the second fight.
The second fight was a great fight, what other MW would be able to push Alvarez the way Golovkin did?
What other group of fans (besides diva fans) would applaud their fighter for giving up his national holiday to avoid fighting another boxer?Last edited by ruedboy; 09-12-2019, 02:52 PM.Comment

Sounds like the Canelo fans who don't want to see a third fight sound like they're giving excuses because they don't feel so confident about his chances. If Golovkin improves under Banks and the nutritionist has given him some youthfulness, the odds of Canelo replicating the performance of the rematch don't seem likely. He had to fight his best fight and still barely came out victorious, while looking like the more exhausted fighter in the second half. Add to that the knee issues and his weight jumping, assuming Golovkin hasn't shown major signs of slippage, the fight is still a toss up. His fans would much rather him lose to a bigger fighter than lose to Golovkin.Comment
