Why Don't You Wanna See Canelo GGG 3? & Who's The Better Fighter Of The Two?

I think it's definitely at least 1-1 and on my first watch I felt 2-0 for GGG. But the 2nd fight was closer. GGG I think clearly loses the 3rd fight but Canelo wants to make sure by making him wait which will just slow him down further.Comment

Nelo had bigger rounds whereas the rounds GGG won were mostly when Nelo didn't do much and took those rounds off.
Nelo did as he pleased in there. Boxed when he wanted to, slugged when he wanted to. GGG was pretty much 1 dimensional. No body attack and his right hand was absent in both fights.
''Nelo waited for GGG to get old.............''

Canelo has been out here unifying belts at 160, moving up two weight classes taking on risky fights. What does GGG do? He fights Rolls and about to fight a guy who lost to Jacobs. GGG could have fought Andrade in June to put even more pressure on Canelo, the fight to become undisputed middleweight champion, it would have made the fight more meaningful. Now GGG has to earn his shot at the middleweight king. He can start by beating Andrade or Charlo.
And isn’t Golovkin fighting Derevyanchenko for the IBF middleweight title, the one just stripped from Canelo? Is that not meaningful?Comment

In a nutshell, today’s Canelo is about even with prime Golovkin, and a bit better than today’s version.Comment

I actually think the Derevyanchenko fight is a good start for GGG. If he beats him, he can move on to Andrade, and if he were to get past him even the most ardent Canelo fans would be demanding a 3rd fight.Comment

You mean the one that Jacobs ignored? It seemed more like a ploy by Golden Boy to extract more cash from Jacobs since they knew he was going to blow it anyways. If they truly wanted an ironclad rehydration clause the penalty fee would have been much higher.

Yeah, Jacobs gladly paid the fine.

At this point, it’s too close to call. Conventional wisdom would dictate the younger fighter having the advantage. If it was a prime ggg, he edges the version of canelo he faced. The fact that it was decided by the slimmest of margins with a clearly past prime ggg tells me who the better of the 2 is.Comment
