Spinks is a perfectly acceptable opponent for Floyd, but he is no more of a threat than Margarito in most people's eyes.

Spinks eeking by Mayorga, Judah, and Piccirillo does not equal 'many more big wins'. Spinks' recent failures also have to be taken into account. That said, he does present a style problem for Floyd. Margarito ALSO presents a style problem for Floyd, and that's why he is worthy along with his long standing undefeated streak at 147 (like Baldy).

I agree. Spinks got a bull**** win over Mayorga and the benefit of the doubt on a close fight I thought Judah won. Spinks' only real win was against Karmazin and that was a majority decision. He's never looked good against top level opposition.

The sooner you realize fans want to see Floyd tested vs Margarito, the better. There is no way around this for Floyd fans. This is the main fight that needs to happen at 147 according to most scribes and insiders. It is not because they are all Floyd haters either.

Furthermore, this is not about Margarito 'deserving' to fight Floyd, it's about the so-called best ****in fighter in the world proving his mother****in worth by takin on all reasonably acceptable comers.

So basically, Floyd can fight this bulldog Mexican, or he can take the heat for avoiding him. It's his choice. But if Floyd is going to campaign at 147, then he has no choice but to take on Margarito...sometime this century.

How can you believe that when Winky has talked his way out of so many fights? What makes you think that Winky was right and Floyd was wrong? The fact is that even Winky said that he wont fight Floyd for less then 50/50 and Floyd said he wont do that. Thats the bottom line and Winky is a clown for wanting that. Floyd had just beat Gatti at 140 while Winky had just killed Tito at 160 and he thinks Floyd will fight him at 154 for 50/50? That is dumb and its nothing but Floyd hate, that so many people back Winky on that.
