I agree with this on Buatsi. OK his supporters will say it’s too early to tell, and ultimately it is, but he looks like he’s just lacking something extra. His style is solid but also fairly predictable. So far it doesn’t matter, but against top opponents he’ll have to make adjustments and I’m not convinced that he has the all round game yet. He likes it long, but he always throws similar combinations. Can he fight inside? How good is his defence under pressure? Time will tell, still haven’t seen him in with a proper live test though.

I'd like to see him against someone like Hot Rod or Hart next year. Decent guys that could give him some type of test. But yeah, Buatsi has very solid fundamentals no doubt and throws good combinations. I just wonder if he lacks that little extra gear to take him to the top of the division.

...who could be outboxed by someone like Gvozdyk. We should learn a lot about both when they fight each other.

Mentally, I think Buatsi may have what it takes to be world-level. Physically, it remains to be seen. We don't know how good his punch resistance and stamina are, and he seems built more like a SMW than a LHW. He seems to have a mean streak and can get a bit dirty, qualities that will serve him well as his competition gets more difficult.

          Some fantasy booking:
-Have him defend his British title against Richards, then Callum Johnson.
-Face the EBU titlist, which is currently Boesel. Defend it against someone like Mikhalkin/Murat/Fornling.

By the end of 2020 or beginning of 2021, he should be facing someone like Alvarez/Pascal/Vlasov/Smith Jr./Caparello.
