Comments Thread For: Joshua Buatsi Knocks Out Ford With Body Shot In Seventh Round

Ryan Ford tested Joshua Buatsi at times Saturday night, but Buatsi eventually became the first fighter to knock out the Canadian veteran. Buatsi's left hand to the body floored Ford early in the seventh round. Ford couldn't get up from that shot, which knocked him out 1:07 into the seventh round of their light heavyweight fight on the Vasiliy Lomachenko-Luke Campbell undercard at O2 Arena in London.

Good effort from Canadian road warrior Ryan Ford. Very lame they couldn't even be bothered broadcast this undercard fight on TSN for us Canucks to cheer you on. I still watched from a stream though.

Sloppy ex MMA guy just couldn't hang at that level in the end.

Streaming is all we seem to have here...TSN gives two ****s about boxing now. Does Spider Jones still have that weekly boxing show at least? I cancelled cable about 3 years ago.

He seemed to have some heat but yes his style seems to have suffered from the Mma career. He didn’t appear to have much power either, which goes back to the style and footing. Good win for Buatsi but much of a muchness as a contender

Buatsi needs another 4 or 5 fights before he gets to that level. No need to rush him.

Bellew and Nelson haven't got abit of integrity between them. In response to it being confirmed he was stopped by a low blow, Nelson prattles on about a left hook that barely wobbled Ford earlier and Bellew tries to pretend he was going down to good body work. Pathetic Sky, lying right to your face.

Yeah it's depressing. And no I don't think so but I have to dig through the schedule of ****ty hockey and sportscentre on the 5 total TSN channels to even see what channel they will broadcast a boxing event on. They always put on ESPN/Showtime stuff but never the full cards and they jsut throw it on any random channel. Last week Yarde/Kov was on TSN 3 or 4. Today Loma/Campbell fight is on TSN 1.

Yeah I didn't mean throw him to those wolves immediately but even working up to them I think they are just superior fighters, and as Buatsi improves they will also get better at their level.
