Why would I give a damn how you scored the fight? You are a Mayweather lover or you would not be making this thread saying how clearly Mayweather won. I scored the fight carefully myself without taking any penalty points away from Mayweather. I had Castillo winning by at least 2 points mainly because in many rounds he threw and landed a lot more punches than Mayweather did. Others are free to score the fight any way they want to. The only score that matters to me is my own. I trust my eyes and my judgement.

Floyd definitively won the first 4 or 5 rounds.

Nobody thinks the fight was a robbery, but it could've been a draw

The word “robbery” in boxing is so overused that it has lost its meaning. A razor thin close fight like this cannot he considered a robbery.

I don't think the fight was a robbery but on my scorecard Castillo won by two or three points. The fight was close enough that I wouldn't call Mayweather winning a robbery but I do believe the wrong guy won.

Funny every close fight Floyd had went to him , if it had gone to the other guy Floyd fans would have torched and rioted for weeks

How do you know they don’t have skin in their hearts and game ? They’ve relayed this to you ? If so, can you supply the resource.

                You're wrong.

Bob Arum was in conflict with Mayweather right before this fight because Mayweather wanted the big name fighters. Arum wasn't delivering the biggest names for him because they were ducking and Arum did not want to put up too much money for those guys who were pricing themselves out or out right refusing to fight Mayweather.

He wanted to be a PPV star already, asking for more money and Arum told him "you are not there yet." HBO was in on this as well, they wanted to humble him. Mayweather was being boistful and bragging a lot, acting flashy and very "villainous." People were starting to dislike Mayweather's persona and his antics. He had a big mouth outside the ring but was backing everything up inside the ring.

This was supposed to be Mayweather's "wake up call" where they were going to respond negatively against him any chance they could, this was their chance. He was outweighed tremendously against Castillo and fought with an injury. Castillo also had every tool to make Mayweather look bad at the time, along with the big weight disadvantage.

It wasn't enough, as Mayweather won anywhere from 6 to 8 rounds with one round even and a 10-8 round going his way. It wasn't his best performance but he got the job done. Everyone ringside had Mayweather winning by this margin, including the judges. Articles that came out after the fight from 2002 were literally bashing the way HBO covered that fight, I can dig them up again.

Interestingly enough, the rematch where Mayweather pretty much dominated the fight and won anywhere from 8 to 10 rounds, was scored 115-113 by the judges. It was almost as if Mayweather's margin for error the second time around was even slimmer, and this time around the judges were in on it.

It's like they were attempting to rob Mayweather in the second fight in order to humble him once again, and set up one of Bob Arum's infamous "trilogy."We've seen so many Arum fighters fight a trilogy it's ridiculous. Questionable controversial decisions or just controversy in general. I believe this is all engineered by Arum.

In theory, these two fights were what Arum used as an excuse in an attempt to prevent Mayweather from getting too big and maintain full control while being able to micro manage him. After these two fights HBO's commentary on Mayweather shifted more toward negativity as well.

Why not? A robbery is taking something away from a fighter who earned it.
If a fighter wins a close fight and you give it to his opponent, it"s a robbery.
Besides this wasn't that close. Castillo 7-5, maybe 8-4. IMO

Floyd this one and the Maidana fight were close. So as a true champion he can both back in immediate rematches and easily won.

The greatest of Floyd is that that these narrow wins are held up higher than losses by other all time greats.
