The judges gave Floyd rounds where he was being landed on 2-1!
Nah it’s not ridiculous to give Floyd 1-4 and 3 swing rounds from 7-12. Even the rounds JLC started to work back in were close. How Floyd made adjustments while fighting with his shoulder, switching southpaw at times was a thing of heart.

HBO had a lot more reason to pull for Floyd to win that fight. The commentary called the fight like it came off. Floyd was out hustled and out landed by a big margin. In fact, nobody before or since has landed as much on Floyd. (unless you are basing that on average punches per rd, then that was McGregor)

I agree, Floyd did make adjustments......

        ......in the rematch.

He lost to most experts at the time and there was a rematch for a reason.

I tend to look at fights thru my own lens before i let someone else tell me their “truth”. They ran it back and Floyd beat Castillo clearer in the second despite the score cards “showing” a closer fight. Plus it’s been 15 years. Life goes on and Castillo couldn’t get the job done. Great fighter though.

No way in hell Castillo won eight rounds. That’s ridiculous. He was being aggressive, sure, but he was getting countered a lot and wasn’t landing anything clean for long stretches of each round. Not to mention all those low blows/hip shots he was throwing. Going by the boxing rules and being objective, Floyd won the fight 6-5-1(114-112) or 7-4-1(115-111). This is simply a close but clear victory for Floyd Mayweather Jr.

I think he did get the job done and so do many, many others who know a lot about boxing and have no skin or their hearts in the game. Good day

                I disagree

Castillo beat Floyd like Salido beat Loma. It wasn't pretty but it was effective. You can't say Castillo lost but Salido won. That's hypocrisy.

                That's it

Luis beat that boy like he was a red headed stepchild.
FM hadn't perfected his holding technique yet, so he was running like a track star.

Silly OP, Don't you know? Every close fight is considered a great train robbery.
