this guy is getting really annoying at this point, from inactivity to turning down 50/50 deal from warren. now that bjs and canelo fight can easily get made he wants to jump ship.

Loma isn't a big tix seller either and everyone at lightweight is trying to fight him for the paycheck. Kovalev is a bigger name than all the 168 champs combined. Fights against Gvodzyk, Beterbiev could do big ratings because they're huge punchers. The only PBC guy who might be an attractive option is Benavidez. Plant is an overhyped redneck with a boring style. Putting the audience to sleep against Plant or Dirrell will do nothing for his career. Haymon did nothing for Degeale aside from always being on undercards and smaller shows.175 isn’t a $ division at all, There’s no tix seller revenue makers ?
Smiths $ fights I’d assume are either BJS / Eubank for a Big Domestic Scrap
Or
Unifying fight with Plant / Benevidez / Dirrell winner and if he wins that he could go
On and try and get the 3rd sTrap.
With the exception of already having a belt. Smith is in a similar position Degeale was when he went to Haymon , PBC has enough fighters in and around 168 with enough straps that Smith could be In multiple unifying fights and possibly a big domestic fight spread throughout 3-4-5 years depending how he Performs and be viewed as the clear cut #1 at 168 holding possibly 3 straps when it’s all said and done something Matchroom / DAZn or Top Rank / ESPN cant offerComment

Still don't know how good Callum is... He looks solid technically, but hasn't really been tested. Plus he's a bit of a weight bully.Comment

Wow! Saunders must not be your cup of tea.I agree. I have seen them both fight and I think Smith would easily KO Saunders. Saunders is mostly big talk and very little noteworthy action. All he has done in the last few years is outpoint guys GGG had already knocked out. His big win is on points over Lemieux with a bad left shoulder and he has gone down hill since then. He got a gift WBO 168 pound title by beating a lousy fighter nobody ever heard of. I do think Eubank beats him and Smith KOs him. All Saunders talks about is fighting GGG and Canelo but he never talks about fighting Andrade or Jacobs to deserve those fights if he beats them. Callum Smith is a damn good fighter in my opinion. He knocks guys out with head punches and body punches.
All i can say is Saunders is talented. Very talented.
He stands a very good chance against anyone in his weight class when motivated.
And there is no such thing as "deserve" in pro boxing.
That label usually gets thrown at "high risk , low reward" fighters such as Saunder, Andrade etc etc. and both are damn good!!Comment

I bet Callum Smith would be happy if hearn would go ahead and make those fights for him. The problem is he's been too idle. hearn is under a lot of pressure with DAZN, AJ issues, Clenelo meddling, Haney, Usyk, Hrgovic, fixing failed drug tests, etc. Seems Callum is the odd man out on the agenda.People don’t realize Callum Smith just wants more money, not that he can’t get the fights.
So Smith thinks fighting BJS in the UK or Jacobs at the Barclays or MSG aren’t big money fights? PBC could match these purses from DAZN?
Sounds like Callum wants a big bag with the risk...
Sometimes a move can get you better attention ala Ruiz.Comment

Callum Smith has zero charisma, no appeal, he is just a huge oversized lump of a supermiddleweight who wants to fight much smaller men or shot dudes. I am pretty sure Bivol would fight Smith asap, Saunders would fight him too.Comment
