Imagine ggg if he were on the amount of PEDs that gingerbread has done. He’d destroy everyone up to the hw division!

correct !
Golovkin has never been interested in facing the best
rubbish
the situation with Golovkin is MILES different than the situation with Canelo
FACT: Canelo faced the best in his division at 154 and 160
he took 2 dangerous fights at 154 AGAINST THE WISHES OF HIS PROMOTER... facing the 2 best JMW's... AND he fought other top 5 JMW's, AND he fought Mayweather
at 160.... Canelo has ONLY faced top 3 opposition, Jacobs and GGG... in-between 2 lesser fights at 168
facing Kovalev (at 175) is a much bigger risk than anything Golovkin has ever done
Canelo will obviously fight the best at 168 when he is ready, just like he did at 154 and 160... I am 100% positive (and you do not have ANY justification to disagree with me)... that Canelo will face Benavidez/Smith/Plant at 168
I agree with you that there are still relevant fights at 160
but fcuk Golovkin, fcuk Andrade, and fcuk Charlo... if they think that they can sit on their hands at 160, waiting for the others to lose, so that they can win the Canelo payday by default... JUST LIKE ALL OF THE WELTERS DID AT 147 before Mayweather retired
it is clearly obvious that ALL of those guys need to step up
like I have said MANY times, my preference is (in order)...
* Charlo (or Andrade)
* Andrade (or Charlo)
* Benavidez
* Smith
* Plant
* Golovkin
* Kovalev
NO... Canelo taking a dangerous fight with Kovalev, in-between fighting the best in his division... is is no way similar to Golovkin avoiding Andrade/Charlo to fight the Wades, Vanes, Rolls, etc
Kovalov has skill, experience , and power.
"Canelo can crack, but he doesn’t have one-punch KO power at middleweight. What makes you think he’s going to have it at light heavyweight? Canelo can definitely take a punch – at middleweight. He’s never been hit by a world-class light heavyweight with power."
Good point by Dougie.
"fans are going to be shocked s__tless, as my mother likes to say, when Canelo taps Kovalev to the body the Russian doesn’t evaporate into a big puff of smoke."
*** these guys are thinking as soon as Canelo hits Kovalov he's going down lol!
"Ward, Yarde and Eleider. They’re 6-feet tall with longer reach (especially the Colombian, who’s got a 76-inch wingspan) than Canelo, who is 5-foot-8. I’m not sure if they hit that much harder than Canelo but I do know that the Mexican star’s power is untested against world-class light heavyweights."
Agree 1000%
"folks who think all Canelo has to do to win is walk up and touch Kovalev’s body are simpletons."
More like full blown RTARDS!
Canelo’s going to have to neutralize that world-class jab to have a decent shot at breaking the 36-year-old down who also has a GOOD uppercut.
"Buddy McGirt. You gotta figure the recent hall-of-fame inductee will study Canelo’s style/habits and come up with best gameplan for Kovalev to follow. I’m sure that timing/anticipating (when to punch) will play a part in their keys to victory."
Agree 100% Again. AND that power jab snapping Canelo's head back WILL win Kovalov rounds.
IMO Kovalov should win this fight! It's INSANE where talking about a Middleweight going up two weight classes to take on a Top #3 LHW??? I have him #1.
Who have Artur Beterbiev or Dmitry Bivol defeated?? Callum Johnson and Construction worker Joe Smith had moments against them. Plus there SUPER green! They have 30 fights COMBINED! I'm sorry I'm going take Kovalov and his experience over them. Heck he has 29 KO's to their 30 fights lol.Comment

You just proved what I already knew about you, you're a hypocrite and Canelo apologist. You can tear down ggg for something yet shamelessly defend Canelo for the same exact thing. Canelo has faced 2 credible names in the past 4 yrs. Ggg and Jacobs. The same exact thing with ggg over the past 4 yrs. 2 credible names, jacobs and Canelo. Otherwise BOTH have been super selective with their opposition. We all know Kovalev is on the downside. While he's the biggest name in his division, he isn't the best champion in his division. At this point, he's also not more of a threat than any of the other names I've mentioned that Canelo is conveniently passing over. You're a groupie clown and you just made it super easy to prove it. Checkmate.Comment

I hear you man, but at least it's not a Rolls or a Vanes, I will be watching this fight closely let's see what GGG really has left.Comment

Anyone know where Andrade or Charlo fit into the middleweight picture atm? Haven't heard much, keen to see what GGG does against a live dog after the Rolls farce. He isn't getting any younger and while Derevyanchenko lost easily to Jacobs, GGG at 37 after the Canelo wars could be a beatable fighter.Comment

I couldn’t agree more. Just today I heard the same thing from a true fight fan but who doesn’t get into it enough to run any bias. The fights were close. Anyone who describes them otherwise is doing cartwheels.Comment
