Since DAZN launched, the PPV market has generated $130.1M

    PPV Buys
    Wilder vs Fury = 325k
    Pacquiao vs Broner = 400k
    Spence vs Garcia = 360k
    Crawford vs Khan = 150k
    Pacquiao vs Thurman = 500k

That’s a combined 1,735,000 buys and $130,107,650 generated. That’s not even counting the upcoming Spence vs. Porter, Wilder vs. Ortiz PPV’s.

DAZN doesn’t even have enough subscribers in the US to produce 25% of that. It’s time to admit that DAZN is a huge failure and they have done nothing to stop PPV.

Only broke boys support DAZN. Real ones only show up for Godnelo fights then cancel immediately after.

It's growing. That's the only metric that a startup cares about.

And PPV doesn't 'generate' money. You pay it. I pay it. If I can watch boxing for less then I will, and certainly won't be celebrating that some networks are going to charge me more!

Do you think Jacobs vs. Canelo would've gotten 600-700k PPV buys at $80?

Canelo leaving the PPV market certainly left a void, and it seems to have been temporarily filled by Pacquiao, a proven PPV attraction. If you exclude his numbers the average buy number is 278k. Piss poor. There are more fights on PPV, doesn't necessarily mean they are PPV worthy.

DAZN has the right idea, their management just seem to be in over their heads. They are to blame for Canelo not fighting in September, they tried to flex their muscle forcing the GGG fight and ended up with pie in the face.

Wow a sane person. I'd better accuse you of being British, a DAZN fanboy and broke cause you don't wanna spend more than you have to.

Facts. These Broke boys probably make new DAZN accounts every month just for the free trials.

Pac vs thurman didn’t hit 590k buys. No ppvs have since DAZN came out. That’s why ppvs are so dead now.

Exactly. DAZN isn’t worth the $240 a year they expect Americans to fork over. Canelo is the only draw there before him it was sinking and Special ed was backed against a wall. Golden Boy saved DAZN.
Boxing is like cell phones in America.
                    1. We get free fights- a vastly better deal than DAZN so I don’t no why brits keep mentioning expensive ass DAZN.
                    2. We get premium fights. That can be watched for $20 at the theaters depending on the promoter. Which is what you’d pay for DAZN. So I don’t get what strong suits their arguments have besides them worshipping edward over an app they themselves do not get.
