I think Yarde put up a good effort considering he has a bad trainer, no real amateur experience and only fought journeymen. He probably could’ve done a lot in the game with the right path.

I know he’s a bit flashy and some don’t like him but at least he went over to Russia and had a go.

Kovalec is done, slow, no power, no hunger(till he was hurt), trainer sucks (jab jab jab", how about some power shots buddy?) The fight changed completely when kovalev started to actually fight instead of jab jab jabbing.

Overreacted but his approach changed Kovalev for the better

don't get me wrong. Buddy is a great trainer and great for Kovalev, but he was VERY CLOSE to stopping this fight and robbing him of his ko victory because he still feels guilty about Dadashev.

Now that was a hell of a scrap that was going back and forth until the champion took over at the end. Yarde was exhausted and had nothing left and his lack of stamina proved to be his downfall. He had Kovalev OUT in the 8th round and just didn't have anything left to finish the job.

But Kovalev is a bad man, not sure if he can beat Canelo at this stage of his career but go get that big pay day in November!

I had the fight 6-4 for Kovalev going into the 11th. That's not a domination. They were going back and forth and Kovalev was almost stopped in the 8th.

I didn't see it that way at all. Thought Yarde won 3-4 rounds and it was a very tight fight after the 8th round. Then of course the last two rounds Kovalev put it on Yarde and dominated.

He still looked like sht. Only looked good after being hurt which woke him up. His heart is not in it and he's not showing up in the shape he should anymore neither.

I generally like your posts, but you are off the mark here.

Kov was in control except for 2 or 3 rounds mainly because Yarde was so inactive.
