Now that was a hell of a scrap that was going back and forth until the champion took over at the end. Yarde was exhausted and had nothing left and his lack of stamina proved to be his downfall. He had Kovalev OUT in the 8th round and just didn't have anything left to finish the job.

But Kovalev is a bad man, not sure if he can beat Canelo at this stage of his career but go get that big pay day in November!

Forget the ref, his trainer told him he was going to stop the fight if he was going to continue to take this big shots. Kovalev pleaded saying no and came back like a true champion the following round and it was over after that.

Yarde's stamina needs to improve or else he will always fall short against the top fighters at 175.
