Canelo could have been fighting either Dervy or Andrade on his regular September date. Canelo doesn't give a damn about unifying 160 or he would have fought for his IBF belt. Instead he will sit it out until December to fight only Kovalev at 175. No young undefeated champions allowed. Apparently Canelo is no longer comfortable fighting at 160 and has outgrown that weight.

He would have kept him a lot busier than Fielding did, that's for sure.

Dervanchenko is a good, solid fighter and a stiff test for anybody in the division. Especially if they haven't had a chance to figure out his unusual style with hundreds of rounds of sparring, and don't have his trainer as their head cornerman, like Danny Jacobs did.
