If Canelo wants proper challenge at 168 and 175 there are a few names there in their primes. Would Canelo dare? I doubt it and I don't expect him to beat anyone at 168 or 175 - he isn't a big guy, but then know the divisions you belong to and don't make more out of yourself than you actually are by picking on past their prime or blatantly weak opponents. But the diva tour will continue to the cheers of the blind fans.

So, for like the 100th headline on this subject I feel I should all do something special...
I do wish Trip G had gotten the first decision. Then the rivalry would be 1-1 and both these guys would be interested in the third fight for their legacies.
I wish Trip G had taken a slightly higher road after Alvarez popped positive. Had he just let his surrogates defend him and he did not go off on Alvarez, there would be less animosity between the camps and both would be interested in the third fight for their legacies.
I wish Trip G had handled the loss to Alvarez better. His storming out of the ring before being interviewed was a horrid look, crap sportsmanship, and petty. Had he handled that loss like a man and gave Alvarez his due both would be more interested in the third fight for their legacies.
I wish DAZN had been a little more demanding in the wording of those huge contracts they gave both fighters. Obviously, DAZN was sure they would pony up to the big third fight as both would want to do it for their legacies. Not ensuring they have some say in opponents in that contract was short sighted.
Guess what? None of those things happened that way. Truth: Alvarez is 1-0-1 against Golovkin and has a ton less skin in the game for a third match. He gets paid either way, has a ton of options in three weight classes, and on some level is probably giggling about Golovkin fuming. If there is a third fight, it will be at Alvarez leisure. If he wants, and really only if he wants titles, streaming services, and legacies be damned. I am not taking sides, just saying facts. Go get your belt back, Golovkin, and get other challenges. Because Alvarez is in this driver seat.

The only elite mw at present.
bearing in mind the criteria for elite is those in the level above title level, I'm not one of those who thinks "uhh yuh Tony Bellew is elite"Last edited by DreamFighter; 08-23-2019, 04:47 PM.

Golovkin:
"Let me say this – as I told you before, I was ready to fight in September," Golovkin said. "It was their decision not to [fight], so let them sort their own things out. And let them make up their own minds. Ask them. I will move on."
Can't this clown move on without the Mexican superstar?
What has happened to the Triple G mystique that was peddled day in and day out just a few months ago? He was all over the place posing with celebrities.
