Would You Approve of a Augustus Fight?

I think this is a good question. Augustus has a horrible record of 32-27-6. If any elite guy in the history fought a guy with a record like that on HBO or Showtime then we would say it is the biggest joke and embarrasment in History but we all know that this guy is different. Even a person who isnt a hard core fan would laugh at this and wouldnt want to watch it.

My question is would you rip any of the elite guys for fighting Augustus right now or would you think it was good and you would want to see it? Im talking about Floyd, Margarito, Cotto, Hatton, Chico, Castillo, or whoever?

I dont think theres any excuse for him to fight Augustus again.
That would be a huge step backward if he fought those caliber of fighters and then Augustus.
Unless Augustus fought 2 top level fighters and won.

He is like a team but he's in a individual sport. You know how when people talk about some teams and they say, "they play to the level of there competition or opponents".

Thats what Augustus is. He could fight a bum and have a life & death struggle with them but he could also fight just about every top guy in the game and also have a life & death fight with them. Its weird

Augustus aint no joke! he's a very good boxer who just likes playing around and clowing. If he took it seriously he'd be capable of giving any of those guys a run for there money. He aint gonna beat any of the guys the thread started listed but "HATTON". He could easily outbox Hatton if he put his heart to it.

****, this thread is ****ing pointless. Augustus is the most overated fighter with you idiots (and that says alot considering his ****ing record). Have you kids even seen his last few fights? I saw him STRUGGLE against Rangel for the first 4-5 rounds and then coming on strong and knocking him out late. This was the supposed "focused' Augustus.

After that I saw him struggle with a 13 fight novice in Herman Ngoudjo (No one here saw that fight except for the Canadians...he is considered the worst Canadian prospect btw) and he was again struggling and lost a close but clear majority decision.

Augustus would never do jack **** against the top level guys. It would warm my heart for any top 10 fighter to steamroll him and shutup all the know-nothins here.
