I rate Quintana highly after his dominant win a few weeks ago, and I'd be very concerned about the skills of Steve if I were Margarito.

I'm giving Floyd a few fights before I am extremely angry about him not fighting Margarito. Why are we faulting him for, after a lifetime of battles, milking his rise to pound for pound status? This plan is fine with me:

Floyd fights Baldomir, wins a good fight and becomes the true Welterweight champion of the world. Then takes on Oscar De la Hoya.

Margarito fights let's say, Zab Judah, and then Ricky Hatton (just throwing out names) to gain some credibility.

Then they meet and we have a bigger fight on our hands.

              I misread your post.
I thought you said the reason Tony deserves Floyd is because his wins over Cintrion and Lewis were better than Floyds wins over Judah and Gatti.

That being said, I still disagree.
Baldy has beaten good competition in his last two fights, while Margirito fought Lewis in 2003. His last fight was Gomez, and there is no excuse for that.
Also, Baldomir has the linear championship, which is much more attractive then Margirito's bogus WBO belt.

simply looking at the title... yes, and i don't think it's over, i think they'll eventually meet up down the line, maybe 2-3 years from now at the most

Marg wanted Judah, Judah made him wait, period. Judah fought Baldi and lost so on and so forth..he thought he was taking an easy fight to secure a fight with Floyd.

Judah is calling out Tony now.
Funny how there is no response.
