The only way I'll suport another opponent is if Mayweather makes more than 8 mil fighting him. Any other way you cut it and Mayweather is ducking this man.

I hear that Diego. Reasonable opinion. If it does come out that Floyd will be making less than 8 million for his next fight, and it is not a Mosley fight (as that seems unlikely this year), I will understand the assertations that he is ****ing Margarito. Personally, I feel that he is just choosing money over legacy- which, like you said would make me respect him less, but I don't see it was "ducking" because, for me, that implies fear and all I'd see is lust for money over love of your fans.

Well I want him to fight Mosley more than anyone.
I would be dissapointed if he fought Spinks, but...sadly enough, it makes sense for him to do so.

When I heard of a possible Spinks fight I was pissed. A Spinks fight? What??! That would make me really, really upset with Floyd. You have to lend some credibility to your status as pound for pound king. If you don't want to fight Margarito...alright. But someone else who you can make a claim for being a legitamite opponent. I would rather see Mayweather-Baldomir than Mayweather-Spinks.

Why doesn't anyone think Baldomir could but the same pressure on Mayweather that Margarito could? Antonino has many flaws, as does Baldomir, and Baldy would not be hurt by Floyd in the least. He could keep walking forward and pressuring....you just don't think he could hurt Floyd? Because after the Gatti fight, I think that anyone moving UP to 147 could be hurt by Baldomir despite his lack of KO power (based on his record).

Hahaha give me a reputible source that doesnt have Floyd number 1 p4p.
Floyd doesn't deserve that spot on P4P, If Im Pacman I would go up in weight to challenge him even If I dont win, but at least I faced him. Unlike the 8 million dollar chicken afraid of nobody like Margarito.

              • I'm not letting Mayweather off the hook if he fights Baldomir. Baldomir sucks, and most people who saw that fight aren't fooled into thinking he's a good fighter just because he beat Gatti. He looked terrible with his form and the ease with which Gatti hit him. Mayweather would dominate every minute of every round and waste 48 minutes of my life.

                • Winky's my #1 p4p. At least he's fighting the best. He's also been successful in moving up with limited power and a supposed size problem.

                    • I honestly think Baldomir is as legitamate an opponent as Margarito. Besides all the fans and Bob Arum hype making me believe Antonio has a shot...none of what I have seen from him impresses me other than his size. Size is what Baldomir has, too, plus his is coming off a defeat of Zab Judah for his championship, and killed fan favorite Gatti. Correct me if I'm wrong, but without bias this is how it looks:

Antonio Margarito- A strong, over-sized welterweight relativley unknown the casual boxing fan with an unimpressive resume. His greatest strength, monetarily, is the Mexican/latino boxing community.

Carlos Baldomir- A relative unknown fighter who is oversized, reported to walk around closer to 180 (according to HBO), who stands to pose a problem to any non-natural welterweight. He holds the linear Welterweight championship, which he won beating Zab Judah, and then had a pretty easy defense against fan favorite Arturo Gatti. Gatti fans, Judah fans, and many people who simply get HBO know who he is.
