Apparently you dont know the reasoning behind the brussles fight, so ill fill you in.
As you know, Mayweather took on the durable Corley for his first fight at 140.
I approved, as Corley was coming off a close SD against Zab Judah.
Next, Floyd was set for a PPV superfight with Gatti, which would be his first big money PPV fight.
However, Gatti reconsidered and decided to fight Jesse James Leija.
So, because Gatti wouldnt just make the fight, Floyd had to earn it, by fighting in the WBC title eliminator against Brussles.
By winning that, he became Gatti's mandatory.
And look what has happened to Floyd since then.
