You can give me excuses all day but in the end the bottom line is that Margarito hasn't even fought a fighter of Zab Judah's level and he has been a titlist for 4 years and 6 defenses. You can criticize Floyd for not taking the offer against Margarito but lets use the same standard to evaluate everybody in the game.
NOBODY WANTS TO FIGHT HIM !!!!!!!! and thats for a reason, he is a bad mofo !!!!

Sure those are definite undisputed facts. But you named 2 fighters and he has been a champ fr 4 years and 6 defenses. I know there were other willing contenders out there during that time who weren't named Kyvelos or Gomez. That is all that I am saying. He followed up his biggest win against Cintron by taking a step backwards. At the very least he could have taken on another top contender to at least maintain his new status quo. And while the belt holders might have avoided him there were better makeable fights.

He may be bad but no fighter is that feared. This is boxing please. The belt holder MAY have been avoiding him but there were far better opponents than Manuel Gomez who had been KO'd by Shane Mosley at lightweight 9 years earlier. Plus all of this extreme fear came out of the Cintron fight which was a year ago. What about the 3 previous years he was a title holder?

I certainly can't imagine Lewis getting nearly beaten by Rafael Pineda either.

Its no big deal to be the undisputed champ at 147. I dont think Lewis had that many skills, he was fast and had good hands, but his dee was suspect and he was sometimes flat footed. He was good fighter but not that elite. Zab on the other hand was apart of the elite and if he gets his mind right can get right back in the mix. The bottom line, margarito last few competitor is nowhere near the same level as Floyds or even Baldomier. Baldomier been in the welterweight division just as long as margarito and he has accoplished more w/o a belt. Floyd aint even been at 147 a yr and already fought better competition at 147 than Margarito. So the point I was trying to make a couple days ago, What makes Margarito the best? What facts suggest he is the best? What argument do u have to say that Margarito is the best option? the only thing I hear from u Margarito supporters/Floyd haters is that he is big and strong and Bob and Maxbox say Floyd is scared and a fraud.

Philip N'Dou (mandatory defense) against a guy plenty of people in the boxing world were saying was a better opponent than Casamayor. DeMarcus Corley who is more capable than any of Margarito's last 3 plus that was for a title eliminator. And Henry Brussles who ****** but again was a title eliminator. The only way he could get Gatti to fight (which was strictly about $ and recognition) was to become the mandatory which meant fighting these chumps. But I don't even know why I am arguing with you about this because I agree with you. I am just saying that all boxers "avoid" certain guys or manage their careers...whatever you want to call it. I am just pointing out that Floyd seems to get criticized more than others for this behavior.

You keep saying this but there is no proof that every single fighter other than Gomez avoided him. That is simply what Margarito and his team have said. What were they going to say, he's fighting a guy who clearly isn't worthy?

                    thank you

I did too and Floyd was winning all the early rounds, JLC started gainig momentum in the 7th, and he still lost some rounds from 8 - 12. I beleive I had 7 - 5 Floyd.

course Zab wants to fight him..NOW

If u so avoided, as soon as a name wants to fight and calling u out, u jump on it. Zab just lost to FLoyd, if Margarito beats him worse or faster dont that make him look even better. Doesnt that suggest some fact that he is atleast around the level of Floyd. Wouldnt that give u a former champ to add to your repertoire. And mind u, Zab was the undisputed champ at 147 in 2006, the same weight class as Margarito who has been a paper champ for the last 4 or 5 yrs. I think that would make Margarito look pretty good, thats hard to deny.
