Its no big deal to be the undisputed champ at 147. I dont think Lewis had that many skills, he was fast and had good hands, but his dee was suspect and he was sometimes flat footed. He was good fighter but not that elite. Zab on the other hand was apart of the elite and if he gets his mind right can get right back in the mix.

It's no big deal wen you beat Cory Spinks to do it. It's good, but not great. Zab has as many strikes against him as Lewis does. Zab's lack of focus and shaky chin have never allowed him to maintain 'elite' status.

I am just pointing out that Floyd seems to get criticized more than others for this behavior.

Yeah that answers a question that was never asked. Yes Floyd may have more control over his career to an extent, but he can't make people fight him. He wanted to fight Shane or DLH or Hatton but they didn't want the fight. I wouldn't say these guys are ducking Floyd. The simple fact is that BIG fights are hard to make in professional boxing for many reasons. Money, Risk, Titles, Promoters etc. Margarito may not be able to get somebody to fight him to increase exposure, but he can offer things Floyd can't. Margarito holds a title and Margarito can justify fighting for less money. For example, if Margarito pushes hard and agrees to take less money than Floyd or Hatton against Baldomir, he could probably get that fight. Furthermore what about the contenders that want to fight him like Williams or Quintana. What about a former titlist looking to regain a title like Zab or Collazo. Face it all boxers control their own careers and can be accused of ducking or avoiding somebody.

Now u gon knock Cory Spinks! from what I could remember Mosley was da man, Forrest beat him twice and becomes the man, Mayorga then beat Forrest twice and becomes da man, Spinks beat Mayorga and becomes da man! Zab wasn't the undisputed paper champ and neither was Cory Spinks. How u gon belittle Cory and uplift Margarito who holds a paper title and hasnt fought a real threat for the title yet. I hate to bring race into this, but it seems that maybe u just dont like black fighters.

Philip N'Dou (mandatory defense) against a guy plenty of people in the boxing world were saying was a better opponent than Casamayor. DeMarcus Corley who is more capable than any of Margarito's last 3 plus that was for a title eliminator. And Henry Brussles who ****** but again was a title eliminator. The only way he could get Gatti to fight (which was strictly about $ and recognition) was to become the mandatory which meant fighting these chumps. But I don't even know why I am arguing with you about this because I agree with you. I am just saying that all boxers "avoid" certain guys or manage their careers...whatever you want to call it. Also if the WBO is weak then he could simply vacate the title and become ranked by another organization thereby becoming the mandatory. For the last 4 years Margarito has made a choice to fight as the WBO champ. If he really wanted bigger fights there were numerous roads he could have taken that he simply didn't. For example, you guys say Gatti is an average fighter and Floyd shouldn't have fought him. But that fight put Floyd on the map to the general sports fan that might not have known him before.

Floyd just BEAT the guy, who KO'd Spinks..Spinks is no threat..its low risk fight for Floyd....He likes left over apparently
