For some reason Lennox Lewis gets very overrated nowadays. I remember when he retired. He was considered a great heavyweight, but really mostly because Tyson and Holyfield aged before he got to them.

Nowadays it seems like Lewis is considered some super great heavyweight.

I understand it, but really looking at his resume it's not like he beat great heavyweights in their prime.
This is true. In real time I was almost always complaining about Lewis' fights. So cautious, so boring most of the time. Then came the Klitschko's who brought new lows, so now I look back somewhat fondly on Lennox. I guess this is the way it goes for all fighters. Time tends to add luster, strangely, instead of the opposite.

Lennox Lewis hammers this kid, he never misses an opportunity to talk down AJ. Seemed like Joshua might never respond....until now.

That was from American boxer Oliver McCall. I never heard Lennox Lewis say this. Brits don't speak like that. It's not even part of the British vernacular.

Rumors are you wont dare to do the same and meet the standard that Lennox Lewis set for you, you disgrace Great Britain.

How do you know what's part of British vernacular and what isn't?

Lennox Lewis was the first to call Frank Bruno an Uncle Tom. McCall just repeated what Lennox said.

This is an excerpt from Vice:

THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN: REMEMBERING LENNOX LEWIS’ EPIC CLASH WITH FRANK BRUNO

In the end, Lewis was drawn into the battle over identity, accusing Bruno of being an "Uncle Tom" and adding: "He makes a fool of himself, dressing up in girls' clothing on television." Bruno was already a television personality in Britain at this point, beloved by many for his gregarious character, sense of humour and occasional displays of total daftness. While others saw this as playing to type, living up to a form of caricature that deprecated his West Indian upbringing and roots, Bruno would later be diagnosed with bipolar disorder, which shines a rather different light on his extrovert public persona. Lewis wasn't to know this at the time but, nonetheless, he had given the fight an even nastier edge. Bruno had accused him of not being British enough, and now he had accused Bruno of not being black enough.

That’s not anyone beating the brakes off anyone, go watch Mosley v Margarito for that.

You call me a fan girl but you’re the one using inaccurate hyperbole for your own agenda. Mate.
Alrighty, we've admitted that Bruno was winning before the fight was stopped. So there's nothing else to argue.

Also, Razor Ruddock was a good boxer but don't start overrating him now. He wasn't better than Takam/Chisora type of fighter.

Umm just No! Taken/Chisora are not better than Razor. Ring magazine ranked him 70th list of Top 100 greatest punchers of all time” he would KO both of them in their primes.
