Of course Canelo can beat him. I don’t think it’ll be easy but he can definitely do it.
out of those 6 fights only ward can claim he is better than kova, no shame on that... he already avenged his lost to eledier without a doubt...
besides kove is a top fighter two weight classes above.

In a neutral city I would pick Kovalev to win. I thik GGG would have won both Canelo fights if they had been in a neutral city.. The fight will be in Vegas so Kovalev needs a KO or a very one sided win to get a win. If Canelo stays on his feet for 12 rounds I think he could lose 9 of those rounds and still get the win in Vegas. The people in power don't want Canelo losing. They don't care about Kovalev.

Alvarez was a big dog in that first fight and knocked Kovalev out cold.

Andre Ward also moved up in weight and knocked Kovalev out with body shots.

In 2015, I think Kovalev wins big time. Now? I’m about 80-percent sure Canelo does.

Weight makes a huge difference if they’re both in the same class. I don’t think they are anymore.

yes. Canelo has a very good chin and great head movement, kovalev can only win by KO. Canelo can win by decision (lol) or by KO because kov might gass and Canelo can tko him to the body late on..
not to mention god knows what kind of mexican beef he will be on, he would look like a roided up vinnie paz @ 175.

This will come into play in the Kovalev fight for sure. However, Danny Jacobs had good some success late with Canelo. Both Canelo and Kovalev have stamina problems, we'll see who'll fade faster. Kovalev, too his credit was able to keep the other Alvarez at bay in his last fight. But as you said, let's see how he handles Yarde first, who to me looks younger, fresher and more powerful than Eleider Alvarez. Only thing is what happens if he gets it on the chin with elite power.
Boxing (long range)/straight shots is how Kovalev Operates, Golovkin outside of his jab doesn’t like his straight right hand, and likes accuracy, he doesn’t light up a guard to land one around it. Canelo would get stopped vs Kovalev. Canelo is not as powerful or as durable as eleider, and he’s a midget. Yarde, I don’t see how he makes it past the first half.

I think youse better hope Kovalev comes in overtrained or drained.

Interesting fight if it's really at 175 and not a catchweight. Kovalev is 36 and, to some extent, may be damaged goods after his two fights with Ward. He can't have the confidence that he once did, and he showed a weakness of mind in fighting emotionally against Ward. But he's a good boxer with a great jab and plenty of power, and he has a nice height and reach advantage over Canelo.

douglas was also a big dog vs tyson, but ****t happens, did you see the rematch ? kovalev made alvarez look like the underdog he was.... Again no shame in losing to Ward, and ward is much bigger than canelo by the way...
you could say kova beats canelo back in 2015 and i could also say canelo easily beats kova if they were the same size...
so one is past prime and the other is too small, that should make for a good fight...

I have no idea what Kovalev is at this point. He could blow through Yarde and Canelo with ease, or either guy might blast him to the body and he could crumble like a gingerbread house

Kovalev is definitely showing signs that he's coming to the end of his career BUT with absolutely no weight restrictions (like that's going to happen with drainello) I'd still pick Kovalev to win it.
