According to the a PR newspaper cotto's team have expressed interest in fighting Baldo next. Now it's up to Top Rank management to get that fight signed.
Hmmm, interesting. Pesonally, I'd favour the grisly old vet in this one; but it's an intriguing match-up.

Cotto wears him down, outboxes the **** out if him and stops him in the later rounds. Cotto will look very impressive in his WW debut.

I love Gatti, but Cotto he is not. Cotto's power will carry over and he can hurt Baldy. He will box much smarter as well.

Explain...not that I disagree. I think it would be a really interesting fight. Cotto would be more competitive than Gatti or Judah. On the other hand I see where you are coming from... Cotto's biggest strength is his KO power, and I am not sure any welter could KO Baldomir. But Cotto has beaten some tough fighters at 140, and has great body work which I believe is Baldomir's weakness.

Cotto has shown heart; but he's also shown the propensity to get hit and get hurt. He's no where as experienced as Baldomir, who has a reliable chin to boot. Puncher vs skilled boxer with chin & aggressor vs aggressor=whoever gives ground losess. I can see and would bet on Baldomir beating Cotto...possibly by later round stoppage. Cotto, as devastating as a puncher as he's been against so-so Jr. Welterweight competition, would unlikely looke "that" devastating against a man, like Baldomir, who can actually take his best shot. Punchers usualy self-destruct when they lose their ability to hurt their opponent; and I doubt Cotto's a good enough boxer to make up the difference or fight going backwards. I'm not going to diss the kid too bad; but the fact is, he really hasn't proven himself yet and is hyped beyond belief. Anytime someone is hyped that much, I know something's askew. You can fool some of the people some of the time, etc.

Like I said, it's an intriguing match up; but a match up between a boy and a man. Should it go down, I'm betting on the man.
