This is a lie . Ruiz was begging for the fight even making personal calls to Hearn after Ortiz and Kownacki turned the fight down after the Miller situation.
Of course he was begging for the fight. He knew what some of us already knew. That beneath that facade was a combination of the Wizard of Oz characters. The heart of the cowardly lion, the movements of the tin man, and the brains of the scarecrow. Of course Eddie Hearn was the wizard behind the curtain fooling all of the british simpletons. Your not in Kansas anymore Redeemer!
why didn't they agree to fight in Macau or Tokyo? Would've been a lot less controversy and it's definitely more neutral than Wahhabi hellhole Saudi Arabia.
At the geginning, right after his loss, Joshua stated he wanted to avenge (try) his defeat at the same venue in America.
I have really gone off Joshua because of his response to his loss and this fights weird arrangements.
Why are they making such a big deal of fighting in saudi. it's a nuetral location if the money's there go make the fight. FYI for some of the ignorant westerners Saudi is a religious country so who cares about them being anti LGBT it goes against all abrahamic religions morals. Now they are lacking behind most other ****** countries with women's rights but theyre slowly getting there .
I’ll never understand the people who live in the Information Age and still refuse to do any research before making such a ludicrous statement.
Stop crying about the saudi regime and wahhabism and the fundamentals.
Boxing is in the end about money, and saudi's offered the biggest deal.
I agree, let them fight in Tel Aviv, it'll still be a big fight.
Saudi is making an attempt to modernise, while I don’t think LGBT rights are due any time soon women’s rights are more relaxed than they’ve ever been. There is plenty to criticise Saudi on, Yemen being foremost among them, but if we ruled out having international boxing events in countries that run Middle Eastern bombing campaigns or overseeing shady espionage sh** or assassinations then that’d rule out the US too. Too many people trying to kibosh the sport’s expansion into a new market based purely on sound bytes they got off of TV.
I guarantee I have written more contracts and signed more than anyone on this board combined.
Pay has to be set among both parties for a US fight rematch clause.
It’s a US contract cause 1st fight took place in NYC.
It is painfully obvious you really don't understand contracts, and I very much doubt you have drawn up any enforcible ones with your lack of understanding. I've drawn up a couple, not that many and not that recently, because I pay qualified professionals now.
Out of interest though, point us to the statute that specified a rematch clause must have both fighters renumeration listed, is that state or federal law?

Four months ago they publicly beheaded 47 civilians in one day. Other things that can get you beheaded and crucified (Crucifixion of the beheaded body is sometimes ordered. For example, in 2009, the Saudi Gazette reported that "an Abha court has sentenced the leader of an armed gang to death and three-day crucifixion (public displaying of the beheaded body) and six other gang members to beheading for their role in ***elry store robberies")
Other crimes that will get you executed - being an atheist, walking away from religion, burglary, ****sexuality, adultery (this includes if you’re ****d, because go Saudi’s!) sorcery, blasphemy...yeah...they getting better and we shouldn’t believe what we read lmao
