They both kind of look silly. Golden Boy apparently dropping the ball on the IBF negotiations, and Canelo with the diva crap he's pulling .

GBP just f'd up........in a big way. No other way around it. Now, this may eventually pass over and they can go on with their business like nothing happened. But whatever decision Canelo makes here in terms of sticking with or buying out his GBP contract would be warranted.
Has Canelos side issued a statement on what happened. So far I've only heard what Canelo has to say about this.

I don't know why everyone is so concerned about IronElo and his finances. I'll never get the fascination with boxing fans trying to manage boxer finances and careers. Who gives a sht about this cheater and where and when he fights. I certainly do not.

Has Canelo officially said anything other than attacking Roberto Diaz on twitter? No, but guys like Kim, Iole, Pugmire, Coppinger etc have written about it and all said similar things. This isn't something that just popped up out of nowhere. People in the industry have known something is wrong for a while. They also knew that Canelo likely wasn't going to be fighting in September.

He's still a guy willing to face top competition and he's already faced GGG twice. You're acting like he's never fought him… No, he's actually done it twice already. He just doesn't like how he's being "forced" to fight GGG because his promoter made a promise to DAZN that went against what he told them to do.
I think the fact is From reports that GB assured Dazn that Canelo would take a trilogy fight, and why wouldn’t they say that , Canelo up to now has has never been known to avoid a fight , The 3rd fight makes sense for everyone involved , but if he told GB he won’t fight Golovkin again how is that not a duck. There’s unsettled business

As far as Kovalev , He 35+ batting 500. The last 2+ years been stopped twice in that time and we don’t know if there was a catch weight or not . Kov is the biggest name but also the weakest link among strap holders at 175

Andrade , We’ll see could have fought him for years even now they tried to fight Devrechenko before Andrade , so I doubt their running towards a Andrade fight

Yes he’s fought 24 rounds and he’s made it clear he’ll take less $, move off his dates , strain business relationships so there won’t be another 12, he’s mad because he doesn’t like being forced , How about not being a selfish c.ocksucker and realize that the company writing his cheque’s has the best chance of success with a trilogy fight , Not a Kovalev , Devrechenko or Andrade fight , But why care about the companies success that promises you a 1/3 Of a billion dollars. You know business is give and take . Canelo gotna Free paycheque in Feilding now he should help do what’s best for his partner and give them the biggest fight they can make.

But people want to make it seem like he isn’t Avoiding Golovkin when he’s willing to do anything he can even at at detriment to himself and burn any bridge business wise not to make a fight.

And we should believe it’s Because he doesn’t like Golovkin and doesn’t want to give him a payday / But Golovkin has a Dazn Contract so he’s getting paid regardless if they can deliver Canelo or not ,

heres the difference though...fury was put down twice and has an actual reason to be timid

nothing golovkin did to canelo in 24 rounds suggest anyone has anything to be scared of(unless ur a c or d level fighter)...canelo went 24 with golovkin(12 in a manner in which golovkin speficially asked for)...canelo wasn't hurt or dropped or even rocked really....I still cant believe some actually think there is any fear in canelo...nothing suggests it...and I don't personally care how or who you scored the first fight for....but the second looked clear to me canelo was better

to me its clear its personal for canelo...this guy just sits and waits for canelo and has obsessed over him for years....he makes fun of him for khan and turns around and fights brook...he takes jabs about the drug test but still turns around and fights him(if hes dirty why do you want to fight him)...golovkin is getting fights greenlighted for him for years networks wouldn't do for anyone else(especially one who hasn't proven he can really sell on his own)....canelo asked mr "I like belts"(golovkins old war cry years ago) to go fight someone decent and get one first...instead of fighting d level guys

its not about fear...its about some guys getting an easy pass when they haven't proven much and haven't proven they are big stars without another a-side attraction that canelo is....golovkin has taken 0 risks in his career....which virtually ever other major star in the sport has had to do...Oscar, Floyd, manny, bhop etc....its not fear of a fight with golovkin...its a stand...its personal....and I think that's clear

theres nothing golovkin did in the ring that canelo fears...trust that....that should be obvious to most...
First I was critical of Fury as well and I’m a fan of his

But to think Canelo wasn’t rocked or hurt in that second fight your doing a bit of revisionist history , Canelo never had dignthat deep in his career and seems clear he isn’t planning on doing that again.

Saying you don’t care how you scored the first fight is just a way for you not admitting Golovkin won, literally 2% had Canelo winning he first fight

Saying Canelo clearly won the second fight also goes against how the vast majority of Fans/Media / Boxing Personalities had the fight. Over 60% had Golovkin winning the second with about 30% believing it was a draw & 10% thinking Canelo won outright

Your right Canelo has never showed any fear but these recent actions of his sure make it easy to come to that conclusion.

Dude, Canelo apparently TOLD GBP not to guarantee the trilogy and they did anyways. How don't you see a problem with this? How are you going to just look past that? Canelo IS the entity here and he is the BUSINESS here. You don't sign anything on his behalf without his approval PERIOD.

                Pretty simple:

                1. Canelo told GBP not to guarantee a trilogy fight with Gennadiy - GBP did it anyway without Canelo knowing.

                2. Oscar relinquished his power and allowed/delegated Robert Diaz to negotiate on behalf of Canelo and ultimately ended up costing Canelo his IBF belt by not only starting negotiations dangerously close to the deadline, but by also agreeing to relinquish the title if a deal was not done regardless of how ridiculous the asking terms may have been. Again, all done without Canelo's approval/knowledge.

                3. There are numerous reports (rumors that have been echoed by more and more writers) that Oscar has been a no show to several of the last GBP fights, events, conferences, and meetings (such as the one that just took place)

These are huge red flags. The incompetence being shown along with the amateurish mistakes being made is worrisome for a fringe contender, let alone to what many consider as the face of boxing.

I don't blame Canelo one bit for wanting to buyout his contract, hire Schaefer and totally reconstruct his DAZN deal. Being locked into a subscription based model and having a "boss" that tells you who you CAN fight simply doesnt work for someone of his stature.

                      NOOOOOOOOOO..absolutely NOT

me saying "i dont care how you scored the first fight" is not me admitting golovkin won....its simply me saying i dont care how you scored it because either side could make a case...i think it was that close...and i wouldnt admonish either side for making a case as i could see both sides....you are reaching severly by saying its me admitting....now that ive made that clear

whether or not canelo had to "dig deep" doesnt mean he was hurt or rocked...and we certainly know he was dropped...digging deep means he worked hard...maybe harder than he ever has....and i wont disagree with you....he did have to dig deep...and you know what? its because he gave golovkin the exact fight golovkin asked for....and that takes balls....you know golovkin asked him to fight that way right? and he said "ok here you go" and performed well doing...thats big balls to go out of your comfort zone and fight a guy everyone thinks is a killer in a manner thats more befitting of the opponent...so yeah maybe he worked hard for it and had to dig deep...but i admire that and it showed his true grit more than anything...he didnt have to fight that way...he did so do defend his rep and honor

you can point to whatever stats you want how people scored the fight...60-40 or whatever...doesnt matter to me....i saw what i saw watching the fight...i saw tons of reputable fighters, trainers etc saying canelo won...and i saw golovkins own trainer give canelo his props and basically admit he won....i dont need crap stats from what i saw in the fight and read from fighters, trainers etc....

canelo had displayed his grit and his mettle...and his attitude to fight anyone...and even on their "terms"(style)

he fears nothing golovkin has in the ring....this is obviously personal
