It's sad... though a lot of them are running off the Pac-Floyd method of what WOULD happen hence hype is there and people sit around saying he could beat him if given the chance, but when given they don't take it and the mystery lives on. That being said Pac and Floyd were legends but that blueprint lives on in peoples heads. Whether you like the contender or hate the champ. I can understand the Wilder situation a bit only because it's an actual megafight or at least was. Canelo and SD is anything but and the outcome is almost foregone to most. No one is clamoring for the fight so just make it. PBC for what they've done right have also over paid fighters for garbage fights thinking they're entitled to more without having proven it.

So according to you who should he fight? Since he doesn’t want to fight Jacobs, Charlo or Andrade. So yeah. It’s better than him fighting another can. Plus Alvarez has made it real clear that he’s not gonna fight him again. Regardless if he holds a belt or not. And why would he. He already beat GGG twice (imo). Do I think he was hyped up tooooo much? Yes. Do I think he was a product of HBO? Yes. Do I think he has a weak resume? Yes. But that doesn’t mean I don’t think he’s a good boxer. Because he is. Second best in the division imo. And I’ve stated that before. I’m a boxing fan buddy. I give credit where credit is due. Unlike you who’s a Fanboi. Your act just like the GGG fans who are never pleased with who Nelo is facing next.Last edited by Senor_frogs; 08-07-2019, 11:23 AM.Comment

Honestly my friend...a lot of your 'facts' are not facts at all...they are your opinion or even the word of someone else, when we have no way of knowing what the real story is...like me saying Joshua ducked Wilder or vice versa...it's all an opinion at the end of the day.
It is an opinion as to whether SD would have been able to fight on May 5th
GGG could have fought SD after May 5th...but that would have involved messing up his training camp and possibly further postponing his big money fight with Nelo...it would have then gone to the following May...as SD-GGG would have happened in June at the earliest and September probably wouldn't have happened for GGG-Nelo 2.
No one is really hyping up Rolls or Vanes lol...GGG did what he needed to do and got the early KO...but yeah they weren't exactly ATGs...but neither was Rocky Fielding, Matt Korobov, Hugo Centeno, Fox, Walter etc...not every fight is going to be a killer.
WBC did order Charlo-GGG - and I never heard anything from either guy claiming they really wanted the fight...was Charlo making any noise for that fight? No...because no one still wants to really face GGG...you don't really get paid well and you will very likely lose and possibly get hurt...at least with Nelo you get a huge payday.
GGG never said he would not fight Charlo...that was Loeffler that said something like that.
The Andrade stuff...I mean come on...calling someone out...that's now a sign of the other guy ducking? lol...send in a contract if you want the fight...I guess Nelo was ducking Marcus Browne too.
If Andrade or Charlo were out here fighting killers I may see your point...but they avoided each other and every other good fighter basically at 154 when they were there...and they are doing the same thing at 160...why?
Because they can get paid roughly the same to fight anyone besides Canelo...anyone thinking they are really clamoring to fight GGG, even at G's age, is a little off imo...that is still a very high risk low monetary reward for them.
But hey people can believe whatever they want my friend...if you want to believe all those things, then by all means do it...that's what being a fan is about sometimes...but a lot of that stuff isn't 'fact', even if you really want it to be
No hard feelings though, good chattingComment

Lol how much time did you spend on that man...I live in your headLol...and as usual, you have to try and obfuscate some arguments in efforts to make it seem like you are winning...yawn
I would just add that unlike 95% of people who are Ward 'fans', I have actually seen a lot of Andre's fights...and I can't imagine anyone objectively saying that he dominated the Bika or Barrera fights, there was basically no separation between them in those fights...I just call it like I see it, and if he was from a less heralded boxing country I don't think he has nearly the amateur success or pro success he ended up attaining.
And really not trying to make this racial - more just trying to help ya out and expose some of your personal biases a bit, in efforts to try and help ya out...you seem to be consumed by that stuff, and it can't really be healthy man.
But if Ward was white and GGG was black I would have the same exact opinions of their skills, greatness, and careers....if Ward was white and GGG was black you would think Ward was the most overrated gift-receiving bum ever, and you would think GGG was the greatest MW of all time...everything for you is about race/color etc...just kind of gross tbh and not really someone to take seriously on boxing analysis.
I don't really get into all the tribal stuff...some of the greats are white, some are black, some are Mexican...just the way it is...when you try so hard to prop up guys in your tribe, and hate on guys outside of it, it just exposes you man...and it must be a very unhealthy way to live...just my 2 cents.
FACT: if you think that Bika, Barrera, and Miranda..... are as good as Andre Ward..... then this is definitely NOT the sport for you

Oh I see what you did there. The good ol' "question with a question". Makes it an interesting conversation, isn't it? Its like an argument of proving God's existence because it has never been disproved. Add a tea pot on a Martian orbit to that one as well. And unicorns.
if Golovkin was not afraid of losing, then why would be duck Derevy?
the guy had like 10 fights lol
you guys used to insist that Golovkin could beat Hagler..... but, he will not even get in there with DerevyComment

that muppet is just a shlt-talking clown
dude thinks that Andre Ward is no better than Bika, Barrera, Miranda
he thinks that at least one of the "killers" on Golovkin's resume could have beaten Canelo..... but, he will not say which one lol
I don't think I have ever heard a guy who is clearly nothing but a dopey ignorant casual-fan who has never laced em up in his life..... insist that he knows more about boxing, than this idiotComment

He just turned down 5 million dollars to fight Canelo and they would have us believe he would fight Golovkin for chump change. No way. Talk is cheap until they get to the negotiating table then all of a sudden things change.Comment

I could've swore that I still heard somewhere that they weren't actually ready to fight Golovkin on that date. Not arguing that they also said they were ready, but I have a hard time believing Derev would've accepted 225K to arguably get beat (and take a beating) for that amount of money.Comment
