that fight would have been easier than the Ruiz fight for Jones. Corrie isn't as aggressive as ruiz. It really sucks that so many people have forgotten how Great RJJ really was.

Any heavyweight is dangerous to Roy due to power. That was the danger in a fight with Sanders. But Corrie was not even respected as a top 5 heavyweight. He wasn't even considered to be on Ruiz's level. There's no point then in not getting some good money and a title, when Roy's little pea-shaped head would be risking his personal safety to a higher degree then in fights at 175.

That's what happens when you spend your last fight running like a gaylord.

In time those later memories will fade and people will remember Roy Jones for his ability, his skill, and his list of great opponents. Well... his ability and skill at any rate.

corrie sanders wasnt a top 10 guy through most of his career becuase of his conditioning. he had no defense and awful stamina but it wouldnt matter against jones. jones has no chin and styles make fights and his style is the absolute worst for roy jones. hes a southpaw that can crack and has fast hands. his style is opposite to ruiz who's a good defensive fighter and wins by hitting you with a jab or right hand and holds and mugs you to death but lacks hand speed and power. tarver nearly put roy in a coma and sanders hits twice as hard and would literally kill roy. to think roy would last more than 2 rounds with a power punching heavyweight southpaw is laughable

oh please. ruiz isnt a big puncher and is slow. that was a perfect styles fight for roy. sanders would take his head off early.

Ruiz also beat Rahmna, Something corrie couldn't do. I like sanders, but RJJ would have Boxed rings around him. RJJ hadn't had his confidence taken from him, and Corrie wasn't quick enough to do it. It took another Good quick strong fighter to do that, which was Tarver

Antonio Tarver would have never had the fame he had if this fight would have taken place because Sanders would have leveled Jones with one of those left hands and forced him into retirement IMO.

There where many good quick fighters, that where never able to hit RJJ, why does everyone know think that Sanders was so much better then them?

sanders could possibly catch him.... he's 6"4", southpaw and has fast hands... he also wouldnt be too concerned about roy's power or getting caught by him...
