GGG vs. Derevynchenko is a done deal for Oct 5th or Nov

LoL, I wouldn't put it past the money-hungry execs. I hope Spence has more sense than to go with that. There is a huge weight discrepancy that a few months can't correct.Yeah, the idea of maximizing pt III with the coveted Sept date makes perfect sense on the surface, though this is a fair point. Although it suggests DAZN is already frantically treading water at a point I'm not sure they're at yet. Then again...
Who knows.
A friend has been floating the idea of a top secret Canelo-Spence ppv planned to close out the year kept under wraps to this point, with the "GGG must have a strap" talk being mostly smokescreen while that's underway. It seems far fetched at a glance, but to hear him make the case (giant numbers playing on the unfortunate reality race war angle, an exciting fan/casual-friendly style match, the high likelihood of culminating in another highlight reel KO for Canelo) is actually semi convincing and at least makes you think what if.Comment

Haha, yeah TBH I don't really buy it, but it's fun to contemplate in a kids playing make believe kind of way or something, haha. I agree it's an awful idea for Spence in every way but $, at this point at least.Comment

It's not a must watch fight. Not sold on Derevyanchenko yet. Canelo isn't in it for the fighting anymore. He's set for life. I'd be surprised if he fought more than 3 fights in his career.
Kovalev might be his last fight.Comment

I'll be just fine with Canelo vs Andrade and GGG vs Derevyanchenko. In fact, Canelo vs Andrade is the better fight and GGG vs Derevyanchenko is a good match up as well.Attempting to work out the angles of the sport's business maneuvers to arrive at the big picture is nebulous as hell and feels like a full time job in of itself. My theory on the scenario has been IBF in cahoots with DAZN to push Derevyanchenko (the great, great, darkhorse boogeyman Sergiy Mulaji Sulecki Derevyanchenko III Jr...) on Canelo on the presumption Cinnamon tells them to kick rocks, conveniently paving the way for a GGG-Chenko clash with a highly likely outcome that will add legitimacy to Canelo-GGG III unification with Golovkin holding the IBF strap.
The upside for fans being potenitally two solid fights in the near future assuming Canelo Andrade unification comes to fruition.
...Or maybe not. It's anyone's ****ing guess, right?Comment

His style of fighting would be a good mix with either Canelo or GGG.Comment

Hell, man. You made a thread a few days ago
saying Pacquiao was showing GGG how it's done and GGG refused to fight anyone with a pulse to earn a Canelo 3rd fight. Now that it looks like GGG might fight Dervy all you can say is whole lot of snake sht going on. Does Dervy have a pulse? Why can't you just say that would be a great fight for GGG like a fair minded boxing fan instead of an extreme Canelo lover and GGG hater. DAZN didn't fuc this up for Canelo. Canelo just didn't want the fight. Why should it take more than one day to make a fight if both fighters are reasonable and want to fight each other. Why is it only Canelo who can't reach an agreement to fight either Kovalev or Dervy? Maybe Canelo is the problem.Comment

Yeah, I know. It shows up loud and clear every time you post about him. It's a free country so hate away. Meanwhile Canelo still has no fight and is giving up a belt without a fight for no reason. He said he wanted all the belts at 160 but he is down to only the WBA belt and the bogus Franchise title.Comment

Wasn't GGG offered an Andrade fight though? Real suspect he had no problem turning that down but was quick to hop on the Dev fightComment
