Climb what P4P ratings? P4P is a mythical BS.

Davis already is one the top fighters in the world. I'm talking about his boxing and fighting skills only. I don't care for his superstardom. Wake up, bro. Use your eyes. This guy is the real deal.

I agree with you, tho, about Floyd's BS promotion.

so then why didn’t he come close to 1 million views? And 1 million views isn’t a big number

If you can't tell the difference between Davis and Broner based purely on boxing skills and ferociousness in the ring, then there's no hope for you. I know you followed boxing for a long time.

It's an utter nonsense to even suggest that from a long time boxing fan like you. Not a good joke, either, actually.

First of all his numbers weren't bad. Especially for a 2 Rd fight. It almost got 600k in a 2rd fight. Matter of fact after the FIGHT Espninoza was joking with him telling him he's going up kill his ratings knocking the guy out so quick. His views are right in line with a star in the making. You were the one who thought he wouldn't touch Stevenson numbers. So he outperformed your expectations to.

Secondly he sold out. More tickets than Stevenson did in his hometown. More than Crawford does in his hometown. And what makes that more impressive is that he isn't from a one horse town. Baltimore (the DMV area in general) has a lot competing for entertainment dollars. Me and this other got was taking about how after the Easter Jr fight in Toledo the whole city was dead. Easter doing 10k+ in his hometown is good. But doing it in bigger cities is impressive.

Thirdly as you can see from the numbers his social media impressions were high. Over a million people watching his highlight KO is over a million views even if they didn't watch on Showtime. He still got massive exposure.

Imagine if his next fight is on FOX, with Farmer or someone better, without PPV?

Tank is on the right track for sure and he is still only 24

Just keep him away from AB and keep him very active so he won't get too fat in between fights

Seems like Ellerbe is being a lot of more active and being allowed to get out here and really promote so I give him a lot of props

He's been with AB since before he was a pro. AB is the one who got him signed to Floyd. Tank is his own man.

You don't think there is any doubt about Tank's star power? Where do derive such a conclusion.

Floyd is helping him... that is good. But Floyd needed De La Hoya to break out. And Broner is he really much of a draw?

Tank might indeed be very good, we have to see him do two things: Beat a first rate, very good fighter and get out of Baltimore.

And MotorCity...You are too smart to believe Tank is his own man. If you believe such a proclamation I have a section of Downtown Detroit to sell you real cheap!

I get that but when he was hanging out with AB it did seem as if AB was a bad influence, well at least that is what was being painted for people to believe

Whatever he is doing now, hopefully he keeps doing it. It could be just him Maturing as well since success came very early to him

As the saying goes: "The lady Doth protest too much." Its cute feigning indignation, though frankly it is a very female trait. I don't think Javi is out of line with the comparison one bit. I want Tank to succeed but broner, like many talented guys ran into problems when he started moving up and fighting better fighters. So he tried to control things at the scale, didn't work. Even Judah got caught by a guy who could fight and it changed the trajectory of his career.

As a matter of fact, forget the judges...Broner did not convincingly beat a decent fighter as far as I am concerned. When Tank beats a very good fighter, convincingly then he moves on up. Its not a given, many come up short, who people think will easily make the grade. Chris Eubank, who is very ferocious lol, is an example.

Lets see Tank against someone who can fight. LOma, someone... And I don't care what the judges judge...the judges raised silly Adrian's hand when he got his butt handed to him by fighters like Ponce...not really grade A material. I mean lets see Tank dominate a good fighter, or convincingly beat a potentially great fighter like Loma. They don't even want to put him in there at this point prolly because they know something you do not.
