  • Y'all must've forgot about the greatness of Manny Pacquiao

The Ring magazine rankings at welterweight at the beginning of 2009.

The top 4 welterweights according to Ring magazine.

    1. Antonio Margarito
    2. Miguel Cotto
    3. Shane Mosley
    4. Joshua Clottey

Pacquiao's next 4 fights after beating Hatton at 140?

    Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, Mosley....

In the words of the great Roy Jones Jr., "Y'all must've forgot."

    Even more astonishing.

Pacquiao has wins over 4 of the Top 10 p4p that year according to Ring magazine.

Marquez, Cotto, Margarito and Hatton were all in the Top 10 p4p that year.

Why don't we talk about how Margarito was a sensational cherry pick, fighting a guy at 150 for a 154 WBO title who was coming off one fight in what, 2 years following a year long suspension?

Or how Cotto was drained to 145, was coming off a beat down vs Margarito, barely survived Clottey and had Joe Santiago in his corner?

Or how Mosley was a corpse by then who not only was beaten by Mayweather beforehand by was held to a draw by Sergio Mora?

          Oh wait, facts hurt.

This 100% Facts...But i still give him credit for Cotto win though. It wasn't as tainted as the other 2.

Of course you'd give him some credit for Cotto

Pac fought cotto 3-4 years before floyd would

How long was floyd at 147 again?

Pac fought mosley within a year of when floyd fought mosley lol

                Same mosley

And refresh my memory, did floyd ever fight margarito?

At 147, 154 or even catchweight.

Floyd step in there with marg?

His recent win over Thurman reminded me of his greatness. The guy is pure quality.
