Lopez always needed more time. I think TR tried to rush him because he was good at knocking nobodies out. Nakatani came to fight and put out as much as he got. Lopez clearly won but he definitely needs to step up his game and get his family business in order. Smart move by him, seems that he's maturing. If I'm him, i get a couple or few more fights before taking on Commey.
Or if the weight is really getting to him, move up.

At this point absolutely. Maybe at any point really. Commey is a rough tough dude and he brings it. Those type of fighters expose misplaced hype and make thier opponent ask questions of themselves in the ring. Shafikov and Easter may have eked out disputed decisions on him but I just see Commey overwhelming Lopez physically and psychologically.

The funny thing is Loma knew it. He knew the kid was green and Loma had no interest in fighting him unless the kid had a belt for him to take.

It was the same thing with Floyd and Gervonta. They were clout chasing and Loma called their bluff.

Nah, the funny thing is that Ward suggested Loma should fight Lopez if he asks for it.

I was never convinced, but I said "do it" when Teofimo and his daddy talked like their crap didn't stink. Teo is wrinkling his nose now.

Teofimo is showing maturity, its good to be honest with one self. Lomachenko can wait, Lopez is young and only getting better.

Another one using Loma's name. He and his team talked the talk, now it's a step closer they're having second thoughts.

Commey then Loma are two tough fights, but he called for them, and now it's his chance.

a clever decision would have been to stfu until you beat top level fighters.
