For me it has to be Mayweather, even though he hardly fought the 2nd half of the decade he still racked up the best quality decisive wins imo. Everytime this topic comes up people are irritated at the idea of Floyd winning it which I find hilarious.
Canelo has the advantage over Floyd and Manny in that his prime is in this decade whereas they were older and still racking up great wins. His resume is stacked, he has a solid argument but i've seen many argue he hasn't truly proven he's better than his middleweight nemesis in Golovkin. Personally I thought he lost the first fight 7-5 and won the rematch 7-5 but i'm aware quite a few people think he lost both fights. Plus he lost decisively to Floyd. He had disputed wins over the likes of Trout and Lara but to be fair him winning a close wasn't an issue, just the wide cards.
Moving up to 175 and beating Kovalev would be pretty epic, maybe that could give him the edge.
Guys like Usyk and Loma could've been the favourites if the decade lined up better, say for example it was from 2013-2022 and Usyk moves up to heavyweight beating the top dogs.... that changes things dramatically. Either way they both built up fine resumes.Last edited by Caught Square; 07-31-2019, 02:47 PM.Comment

i mean adding broner and lucas doesnt exactly add much to his resume.. berto and victor ortiz are basically the same as themComment
Just honest and logical.
... that's like showing up to a 1/4 mile race track bragging bout how fast your car went on a 1/8 mile track. smh!! lol.
