Not everyone deserves to be a champ. These days, every mu***er on TV can get some type of belt. Being a champ means nothing. Stop giving out belts for participation.

Too many fighters nowadays to have one belt and now theres to many so the multiple belts become poison to the sports and the WBC is a major cause .

good to see another wilder fan gets Green K out of nowhere on here again as welched bet and all ???????

        Belts are just trinkets.

The lineal title is what matters. The TBRB awards the only true championship in boxing today.

One belt, one champ. It will never happen, but that’s how it should be. Only way it could work is if boxing were somehow regulated so deserving fighters win their way to the top for a title shot. Champions cannot be allowed to choose their own opponents. And no more creating additional weight classes either.

One belt to rule them all? It would be used to manipulate and corrupt boxing worse than it is.

I do think it would be interesting if say AJ have to give Ruiz 60/40 in the rematch. I know AJ brings in the most money but then again he also got knocked out. But then he’d leave to start his own league etc.

Agreed. For someone like Gary Russell that fights once a year for his WBC belt can you imagine only getting to see the world champ of the division fight once a year? As a fighter can you imagine how many fighters that deserve a world title shot would never get one because there are only one MAYBE two world title fights a year barring injuries and set backs? That would be awful. Three belts is cool with me. Everyone would be able to get a shot if it’s regulated properly
