70s is more romanticized and was probably better in terms of pure technical skills, BUT tbh I think h2h wise the 90s guys beat the 70s guys. I just feel like there was a significant evolution between the 70s and the 90s when it came to s&c stuff and well....PEDs. The 90s crew match up well in terms of raw physical attributes with the current crop, but they were also in the same ballpark of actual boxing skills as the 70s guys.

            70s clearly. Much deeper era.

The 70”s will always be pushed as the best era but overall it was the 90”s who had the more boxer punchers and talent . The only detracting point in the 90”s was the two top guys never fought but overall you got the better match ups .

The 70”s only had a handful of the top guys so it was easier to make every fight. Also the two top punchers never fought ,Foreman vs Shavers . Norton never fought Frazier who only fought one power puncher out of his prime and Holmes key fight was Ali way out of his welcome no Foreman or Frazier so not everyone fought In this time period.

I enjoy watching guys like Ellis, Lyle, prime Foreman, Quarry, Norton, Shavers...more than anything from 90s era.

Don`t forget than prime Ali is from 60s, when he fought guys like Patterson, Linston, Cooper, Chuvalo, Folley..

Ali from the 70”s would never have got dropped by Cooper . Much like Foreman from the 90”s would never lose to Young ,when it comes down to it the 70”s got a more effective Ali who fought far better opponents then his early years and Foreman was not the lone giant even at 240 plus in the 90”s which why he avoided Bowe , Lewis and even gave up a belt for declining Tucker , he had to win a legit belt after a loss from a much smaller Moorer which shows how good the era was . Coincidentally the Morrison win through boxing was called afraid , Ali boxed Foreman in the end and it was called masterful, welcome to the wonderful world of boxing .

The 90's was the last great era, but the 70's was when Giants walked the face of the earth.
