How can that be ignored? Let be objective and fair here regarding Mayweather.
It's like debating with a cult when trying to talk sense into most PAC fans.

I was a fan of Duran at time but Pac is greater than duran. Duran has some nice names but as you say he has padded out cv with cab drivers.
Pac didn't mind fighting challenge after challenge, name after name.

It's bizarre to ignore his accomplishments. His fights in the lighter weights before the Delahoya he dominated and hurt guys. How can that be ignored? Keep in mind it's not the Pac fans. Pac fans respect. It's not racism because most agree the best fighters ever were African American not to mention most of our heroes are Black fighters. The Problem is Floyd annoyed so many with the arrogance with wealth and money they dislike the person. That's what it is. The other factor is his refusal to open up and fight in the greatest event in boxing history. He chose to use his skills to shut it down and nullify instead of take the risk flat out beat his opponent in the championship rounds. Manny flat out fights and all his fights are exciting and that's why we love the smiling senator. But let's give Floyd credit, nobody had him in trouble or beat the snot out of him. That is absolutely amazing in such a brutal sport.

They can’t be fair and objective with anything concerning Floyd and that is why he never gets a fair assessment! Floyd is even hated for being undefeated! Think about that Floyd is hated so so much on some Personality Biase BS, that the media and fans say dumb crap like being undefeated isn’t that special. Can’t make this crap up! Being undefeated over twenty years half your fights against fellow champions isn’t that special, meanwhile winning is the number one goal of all fighters!...NO ONE TRAINS AND FIGHTS TO LOSE...NO ONE! P4P there is no question who had the greater skills (Floyd). And FK what they say the man didn’t just win he made it look easy outclassed just about everyone he fought INCLUDING PACQUIAO! So when it comes down to the bare bones of similar competition Floyd beat them all and in a fashion where he took lil to no damage, the deal breaker is the fight between them and Floyd outclassed Pac. Every Pac win after that only enhances how special Floyd is!

Lol...Thank you for saving my fingers bro. Love Pac but his most fanatical fans will say anything uninformed to push their selfish cultural agenda. Where have they been anyway? I was on Pac way before these guys surfaced post Ricky Hatton. Now here comes the swarm of post fight kamikaze spin locusts.

Always trying to convince us in gibberish that blue is actually the color red. Just like your sisters first love, in their mind no one measures up to their man. Wanted Pac to win but had no idea this contingent would rise from the dead. Just got rid of Hearns people and her we go again.

Bread says that he feels Pacquiao would have been most competitive against Floyd in '08-'10.

Well, Floyd signed for that fight in 2009. And it was Pacquiao who walked away just because he was asked to do stricter drug testing.

                Let's never forget that.

I was impressed by Pac's performance at 40 against Thurman and give him full credit for it. But Floyd will go down in history as the best fighter of his generation.

Great win for Pac...but my gosh it is absurd to think he rates number 3 all time!!! Wtf?

He was number two in his prime to a guy who is probably not top three in Mayweather. Size or not he has been most effective at 147.

We can say 08-10 Pacwould have been the best fight for Floyd but I still think Floyd wins and the best Floyd happened earlier?

Aside from that Pac avoided the fight by Freddie’s own admission. So if they felt confident why not put drug testing in place that is common today as PEDS run rampant.

Pac is still the number three WW right now. People act like Thurman was blown out. The fight was super close.

Who believes Mayweather, Spence or Crawford would not have beaten that version of Thurman even more decisively? Let alone enlisting the killers in the 80’s and early 90’s. What about SRR himself verses Thurman?

Pac fanatics just be cool. Bread can be polite to you, I am not. This sh@t always goes too far with y’all.

To surpass people I need to see Pac beat Spence or Crawford VADA tested. That is something Floyd has not done and wouldn’t be favored to do at the time of the McGregor fight.

Pac's conditioning is top notch...Thurman wouldn't make 6 rounds with Crawford...Thurman won't fight a competitive WW again, guaranteed!

I think it comes back to the criteria they are using. I don't think anyone is claiming he is the third best fighter ever (ie how good he was at his best relative to others). Rather they are just claiming he is the 3rd most accomplished- referring to his compiled achievements.

Personally, I prefer to define greatness by how good you were at your best; but there are a lot who rather look at what you accumulate over the length of your career.
