Yesterday, July 24, BoxingScene.com reported that an "A" sample taken from Dillian Whyte by United Kingdom Anti-Doping (UKAD) tested positive for one or more banned substances prior to Whyte's July 20 fight in London against Oscar Rivas. BoxingScene has now confirmed that the substances were epimethandienone and hydroxymethandienone,(2 substances) two metabolites of the banned drug Dianabol.
A metabolite is a byproduct of the body breaking down or metabolizing a drug into a different substance. When a drug is leaving the user's system, it leaves these intermediate end products

He was popped for 2 seperate banned substances regardless of semantics, both metabolites he was popped for are banned that's all that matters. It proves that the reports of him being popped with multiple substances was true so stfu

I read that but I also read just a few minutes ago that UKAD had refused to confirm.

Not doubting you but I'm also not knowing the original source, given that the agency performing the test is officially still mum.

At this point with all their sordid history, I could care less what UKAD says.

As I said the reports I originally referenced were truthful when they reported that he popped for multiple substances(substances that are banned seperately from each other by wada & as bsn reported even if substances are a byproduct of something else each detected metabolite still counts as a seperate substance because had he popped for only 1 of the 2 or popped for 1 of the other metabolites that this roid leaves behind he still would be banned just the same )

& I wouldn't be at all surprised if he fails another test or they find more drugs even. Are you aware this roid leaves behind multiple metabolites including several not listed as him popping dirty for? Since he only popped dirty for so far 2 of the substances left behind by a certain roid,it shows why each is treated as its own substance sometimes fighters pop for only 1 metabolite substance not & the rest

This is pure negligence and corruption.

Are you stoned? This is a UKAD/BBBoC problem. VADA guidelines dictate the sanctioning body and the fighter at risk, in this case Rivas. How the **** is this a VADA problem too?
Did you even read the VADA regs I linked? In the first instance they are only required to inform the lead promoter, the fighter who has had the adverse result and the relevant governing body. There is no requirement for them to inform the opposing fighter or the sanctioning body. Even after a preliminary investigation there is still no requirement... informing the opposing fighter and sanctioning org is at VADAs discretion.

Damn, man, what's the point in me repeatedly supplying you with links if you don't even bother to read 'em?

And no - I've already outlined my stance - I think it's absolutely disgusting that the opposing fighter is not informed... that should 100% be changed and the opposing fighter should be allowed to withdraw without penalty whilst due process occurs. So no, as I've already said about 3 times I think it's absolutely unethical... not quite sure why you seem to be viewing this as some sort of confrontation.

On the question of whether the relevant sanctioning organisation should be informed I'm ambivalent.. probably they should be kept in the loop but once again it's not them who make the decision on whether to allow the fight to go ahead or on what punitive action should be taken so their involvement is of secondary importance.

The sanctioning body is the governing body. Seriously, you cannot be down with the way UKAD handles ****.

Metabolites are still referred to as substances individually. That's not even basic chemistry, that's just common sense.
