LOL @ all the dreamers wanting to see Money fight again. Dude is done with boxing on a competitive level.
If Manny and his fans want to gain the total respect of the fighting community then take on Errol Spence, the only fighter that probably could have beaten Floyd while he was active.
Any a$$hole who calls out a 42/43 y/o respected fighter without being provoked by Floyd is just being a young punk. Im hoping guys like Spence and Crawford simply answer Mayweather fight question with a "I dont fight old men" type of response. If May wants to prove he aint old then so be it but thats as far as the talk should go.
It would be one thing if Floyd was discounting Crawford or Spence after they fought each other. And while Im happy the Pac (if he's clean) beat Thurman, I dont think a split decision vs a Thurman who us still rusty from his lay off and has a questionable desire due to his marriage was an ATG victory.
And some of us are always going to question his performances because of PED rumours. Mannys power went bye bye when he had to face Marquez and Mayweather on even Juiced and No Juice terms. If they didnt test Manny then Im going to question Mannys power that had disappeared for the better part of decade. Mannys speed has always been special but his power has always been questioned. Manny has a 56% KO rate so his power isnt a given like Wilder/AJ.
I love how all these fight fans are disregarding Thurman as the former champ and not letting him get a rematch after a spilt decision.
Even ESPN had the nerve say that Manny had a "dominating" performance off of a spilt decision with close score cards while being out punched and his opponent landing more power punches.
But as I stated before, the boxing community needs to save this energy for a Manny vs Spence/Crawford fight. Because most of the biggest Floyd haters said a second fight was pointless because of a boring first fight. I dont see what makes this a great fight in 2020.
"Mayweather retired back in August of 2017, when he stopped UFC superstar Conor McGregor..."
If the entire boxing industry wasn't coddling the little narcissistic clown, #49 would've been his career.... on 9/12/15. The 8/17 event was an exhibition, and nothing more. Should never have counted as a regular pro boxing fight.
As for the here and now? "This man's entire legacy and career has been built off its association with my name"
What a joke. Manny would STILL be bringing 'em in to see his fights in big #s... Floydie or no Floydie. The ego welded into this guy's swollen head is way outta control.
Here's a solution, Floydie.... FIGHT MANNY AGAIN. Oh wait, forgot... you're scared since you're ancient, Pac's still winning, and he isn't injured.
Geez, never have heard so much whining from one little spoiled brat in the sport... except maybe Bonehedd Broner.
Is that sarcasm? Because I know I don't care what color a fighter's skin is. Fact is, he isn't the lord-and-master of the sport like he thinks he is. Has zero to do with color, and everything to do with narcissism. The guys ego is as big as trump's... outta control from being coddled for years.
I totally agree with everything Floyd said! It’s sad because if he wasn’t Black he would be adored! As far as Pac win even though I feel he’s on PEDS, THAT WIN ONLY FUTHER SOLIDIFIED FLOYDS GREATNESS!
