Again, they should absolutely have some say in what he does. But they shouldn't be disapproving opponents for him and then approving them for GGG....If that is indeed what is happening with Munguia.
If they approve Munguia for GGG and refuse to sanction him for Canelo then they have messed up badly.

I'm not saying it wouldn't do okay. Like any Canelo fight. But if Munguia gots a legit body on his resume it does waaaaaaaay better is what I'm saying. If he were to fight Munguia next or after he loss to Andrade or GGG its the same. If Munguia had a W over Andrade or GGG its HUGE.

Thats why I'm saying its worth the risk of Munguia losing his L to make a huge fight with Canelo as big as possible.
I mean Andrade barely got touched like five times against Sulecki. Completely shut him out. Andrade isn't going to completely impress you with the type of punishment he dishes out, but compare that performance to when Jacobs fought Sulecki. One was pretty competitive, the other was a complete shutout.

The problem is, Munguia isn't even separating from mediocre competition at 154, what makes you think he can get a good win against the top 160 pounders? He is going to get beat down by GGG and DAZN knows it. So there goes the Canelo fight....To me, Canelo vs Munguia does better business than GGG vs Munguia. After GGG beats the crap out of Munguia, he is pretty much done.

And that was basically the main point here. They are playing a dangerous game.

Who knows, maybe Munguia won't be approved for GGG, but from Mannix's own mouth, a DAZN employee, he thinks that is the fight that happens next. So it looks like GGG has the green light to get that fight next.

I didn't say Fielding wasn't a gimme, it absolutely was. But he came back and fought Jacobs next and is now fighting Derevyanchenko.

I'm saying GGG got his gimme against Rolls, so should he be allowed to get another one against Munguia?

And you just proved my point. Munguia was disapproved for Canelo but apparently will be approved for GGG? Why is that? If he's seen as such a mismatch for Canelo, is he not seen as a mismatch for GGG?

If GGG fights Charlo/Andrade, that would be great. Which fight fan wouldn't love that? But it just seems like GGG is able to fight whoever he wants, while Canelo has to get his fights approved. That seems right to you?
Yes I agree with that. If Canelo can't fight Munguia DAZN should not approve GGG fighting Munguia. It's a mismatch. GGG should fight one of the available 160 pound champs and Jermall would be the most exciting. Andrade is good but is a runner when he fights a guy like GGG and it would probably not be a good fight to watch until GGG was able to catch up with him. Jermall would stand his ground and go to war so that's a better fight to watch.

And honestly that was probably Andrade best fight. I just think he's not gonna be able to hang with the tip top guys. I think he's massively overrated right now. We'll see either way. I'm right more than I'm wrong, but its not like I've never been wrong so fair play to Andrade if he does run through 160 like a hot knife through butter when he starts fighting the Canelo's, GGG's & Mall's.

No doubt Canelo vs ANYONE does better business than GGG vs the same guy. I don't think I said anything like that.

And idk that Munguia does get the crap beat outta him vs GGG or Andrade. I think he loses, but I think he's big enough & strong enough to stay in those fights & maybe surprise some people.

Then Canelo doesn't get paid, you know how contracts work right? If he attempts to fight outside of said contract then the clawback provisions will kick in.

Have you ever actually dealt with contract law? I have an its a mutha esp if you renege on it.

It is proven without Canelo, they REALLY struggle. Dude accounts for majority of the subscribers. So what does DAZN do if he sits out a year and they lose their subscribers? Then what? I mean as expected, they are losing a lot of money in the early going....But imagine if they lose at least half their subscriber base? Then what?
You understand that they show other sports right and the bulk of their clientel is actually futbol/soccer. What are you basing them losing half of their subscriber base on, I think your overrating Canelo's impact on their subscriber base a little.

GGG is not the current champ thou and DAZN knows who is best payout/match would be. Canelo on the other hand is and the onus is on him to meet the requirements by being that champ.

Honestly GGG should fight another title holder take their strap from them and then will see the excuses fly from the Canelo camp.

I don't see why Canelo didn't elect to take on Derev in September to get his mandatory out of the way ASAP. Although I wouldn't mess around with top 10 guys on too short of notice but should be OK for then.
