I'm just saying take it up with the UK Sun directly if you disagree. I have nothing to do with it, I didn't write the article. I believe you, I'm sure I'll come across the video too. Just saying take it up with the Sun. The media likes to incite things. I didn't write that article.

Well I though he said that he lost in NY so he’d like to run it back to right the wrong. It doesn’t where the rematch takes place. You can’t teach someone to have a chin and heart.Comment

Yeah that’s true. I’m really not sure what Hearn is doing, maybe playing a couple of venues off against each other? I’m not personally convinced has was supposed to come back to the UK to fight. This delay, and the initial venture into the US makes me think it was supposed to be the beginning of a US campaignPretty sure AJ was going to fight in the winter or fall regardless, almost certainly in the UK.
But that doesn’t mean he would pre-book, of course.
Still, Cardiff knows he’s coming there. Doesn’t have a lot of other options unless he wants the fighters wearing parkas or he wants a smaller arena like O2.Comment

I wouldn't underestimate Andy Ruiz, if I was you. He is backed by the biggest mover and shaker in all of the sport of boxing Al Haymon. The venue would not be written into the contract. Who gets to pick the venue definitely would be written into the contract, and it will be AJ and Hearn who make that choice.
Hearn is not negotiating anything with Ruiz, he will be negotiating stuff like fees, percentage cuts, etc, with different venues who have bid for the fight, and weighing the financial benefits against the benefit to AJ of having home advantage in Cardiff.
Trust me, Al has assembled the largest and the most brilliant legal minds in the country, in order to challenge the legality of the rematch clause; With no venue in writing.
What did Anthony Joshua tell Eddie Hearn by playing those away games? Eddie has been played and badly burned by poaching Al Haymon's talent. What a complete idiot?
Now Papa Barry Hearn wants to stage the fight back in the U.K. but it's going to end up costing him if he doesn't do it on Al haymon's terms or Joshua would never see those belts again.Comment

What did Bob Arum tell Eddie Hearn about playing those away games. He got badly played and burned here in the states and it's all his fault.Well, he owes his career to AJ by signing the next step he takes in his career away for a fight. And it's either he honours the contract or retire. AJ dictates his next fight and owns him, pending what happens in the rematch. That's just how the business is and I'm sure Ruiz's handlers understand this.
We both agreed yesterday that Hearn is a dumb Mfer but that's beside the point here. This is about a rematch clause. Legal language doesn't need to be definitive, as long as it gives you power and puts you in total control. And the rematch clause stated in clear terms that Matchroom/AJ would pick where the rematch is taking place. Ruiz, DAZN and Skysports have no input in that, especially Ruiz and DAZN (AJ isn't signed to DAZN).
Say Ruiz loses all the belts, AJ would be in pole position for fight for at least 2 of those belts like Wlad did with AJ. I don't know about WBO - but I know WBA and IBF would most likely let him fight another top contender with the chance of regaining those belts, since he's still the biggest cash cow in the division and they need the sanctioning fees. Ruiz on the other hand would lose the appeal he has right now and go back to fighting in-front of 500 people and earning crumbs. So, why throw away an opportunity to earn extra $10 million and a chance to keep those belts, for a return to the bottom of the pile?
You and Wilder can keep dreaming about Undisputed Champion but higher minds know Wilder would've to go through the guy he stays ducking, AJ, to get there. AJ will make Ruiz quit in the rematch, as long as he stays with the double jab and takes his time. Ruiz is one dimensional like Rivas with fast hands.
What kind of attorneys do they have in the U.K? Well you can rest assure that Al Haymon has assembled an army of the best legal and brilliant minds in the U.S. In order to challenge the legality of this rematch clause.
Team Ruiz has found a loophole in the wording and text of the original contract and plans on exploiting it. In addition, the sanctioning bodies are going say you know what; You can have your rematch but give us back our titles?
They are going to start calling in their mandatories and then what? What is Barry Hearn is going to do then?Comment

My, My, My! You Brits still don't get it. Anthony Joshua is not the champion anymore but Andy Ruiz is. So if Joshua would like a chance at redemption and regaining his belts then he would do so on Andy Ruiz terms.I don’t understand why people feel the need to deflect with ‘oh it’s obvious you aren’t as good as I wish to portray myself as’. Just stop with that, it’s cringeworthy. You have no idea what I have studied or what I haven’t.
Unless you have seen the actual contract, let’s do away with the pseudo facts. What is known, is that the vast majority of rematch clauses stipulate who would be the lead promoter, and the financial split. Of course the venue is negotiable, but Hearn as the lead promoter has the ultimate say. The new tactic for the legal ‘underdog’, I.e Ruiz here, is to threaten retirement and relinquish the titles
In the original bout Team Ruiz agreed to all of Team Joshua terms like: Venue, opponent, date, location. Now it's time for Barry Hearn to bend a little and make some concessions also or this scenario would potentially play out in court for several months or even years and AJ would never gets his belts back.
Lastly, just because it was a voluntary defense doesn't mean shit! Remember that Roberto Duran was a voluntary challenger to Sugar Ray Leonard in Montreal but agreed to Roberto Duran's terms for the rematch in order to get his title back.
Also, Leon Spinks was a mandatory challenger to Muhammad Ali in Las Vegas but Ali agreed to Leon Spinks terms for the rematch in order to get his title belts back.
So the bottom line is if AJ is unwilling to fight Andy Ruiz at the venue of his choice, then it just only proves that Joshua never really wanted the rematch in the first place.Comment

Al "The biggest mover and shaker in the sport" Haymon lost the Wilder/Ruiz purse bid to Andry Ryabinski, and "the largest and the most brilliant legal minds in the country" then got turned over twice by the Russians in a US court!I wouldn't underestimate Andy Ruiz, if I was you. He is backed by the biggest mover and shaker in all of the sport of boxing Al Haymon.

Andy Ruiz signed a legally binding contract and he isn't a dumb, dishonourable welcher, like the PBC cocksuckers posting in this thread.
Andy will stick to his contract and, if he has to, he will defend his title on the road, like AJ did.Comment
