Hold ya horses cowboy.
Not just yet it ain't. Maybe if he proves that he us the best by beating Bud (which he won't) then maybe it can be an earner.
My man Bud will have something to say about that though.
Totally get what you're Saying and I like Bud too and he is more than capable of beating Spence for sure. However, nobody is talking about the potential of Bud fighting Canelo lets be honest the Buzz is Canelo vs Spence Jr for a reason with Oscar himself declaring that a Mega Fight
Spence has done almost nothing in his career that would lead him to be a PPV star.
I'm no particular Canelo fan but he's done the work. Yes, it helps to be Mexican when there are so many Mexican fans but if Canelo's resume was as weak as Spence's, he would not be doing big PPVs either.
Those aren't facts dude, those aren't proven, there are no numbers provided, no sauce. Being searched more generally means you're less known in the first place. Having more social media followers means NOTHING in this world. Not a damn thing, kids have gone nuts obsessing over stupid and pointless sh.it like that.
Ever since reports came out saying that Spence vs. Garcia sold 50k tickets and had 360k PPV buys, the vast majority of the boxing fans credited this to Mikey Garcia and his "mexican audience". I am here to debunk this by displaying their TV ratings, ticket sale numbers, fan base/social media following and show whose name is searched more using Google Trends
Proof #1: Errol Spence had better TV Ratings than Mikey Garcia
NOTE: Errol Spence was fighting a mandatory challenger no one was familiar with and was still able to get a higher average viewership and peak than Mikey Garcia who was fighting a unification fight with Robert Easter who at the time was the longest reigning lightweight champion
Proof #2: Errol Spence sells more tickets and has larger crowds at his events
Spence vs. Peterson, January 20th, 2018
On fight night, in front of 12,107, Spence broke Peterson down mentally and physically eventually forcing Peterson's trainer Barry Hunter to stop the fight a second into round 8.

Garcia vs. Easter, July 28th, 2018
Before a crowd of 12,560, Garcia dropped Easter in round 3 on his way to a unanimous decision win with scores of 116–111, 117–110 and 118–109, to become the unified WBC and IBF lightweight champion.

NOTE: Staples Center has a maximum capacity of 21k, but Mikey could only draw in 12,560 fans. Errol Spence drew in a sellout crowd of 12,604. If Spence fought Ocampo in a larger venue, he would've definitely reached the 13k mark.
Proof #3: Errol Spence has more fans
Evidence of this is their social media following, neither Errol or Mikey do things outside of boxing which would gain them a significant amount of followers from non-boxing fans so their social media following should be an accurate indicator of how large their fan bases are
The "mexican audience" is nothing but a myth. Pacquiao and Broner aren't mexican, they achieved 400k PPV buys. Wilder and Fury aren't mexican, they achieved 325k PPV buys.
The biggest PPV's in boxing history has no mexicans, Floyd and Connor with 4.3 million buys and then Floyd and Pacquiao with 4.6 million buys.
If the "mexican audience" is such a big factor, why wasn't Santa Cruz vs Mares on PPV? Why wasn't Berchelt vs Vargas on PPV? Why wasn't Ramirez vs Orozco on PPV? Exactly, because Mexicans and their presence in boxing is a LIE.
" ' unless you are already a household name or both fighters are well known' " ???????

Because the smaller weights are rarely PPV. Neither of those Santa Cruz Vargas Mares guys are big names, neither is Caleb Plant or the Charlos . Never will be PPV material. No where near Canelo or Dehlahoya status. Noboby cares, not even the Mexicans.

Oh yea? Then why isn’t Jaime Munguia, David Benavidez and Gilberto Ramirez on PPV? They’re mexican and are in higher weight classes, where’s their mexican audience to perpel them into PPV stardom?
It’s time for you to hang it up, mexicans being the driving force of PPV buys is nothing but a myth.
