Fact HBO Exec said they were close to 1M in April, the CEO of DAZN confirmed those numbers saying they were planning on passing 1M subscribers by June. And Bloomberg just reported they are at 1.2M today in July. Those are real numbers that Execs, CEO and Bloomberg put their name and reputation on. Nobody knows what the real numbers were prior to April I don't know how many ways to say it.
What was the name of the HBO Exec you're talking about? Was his name Evan Rutkowski? Or something like that?

Yes, wondering if that is who he is referring to...And I bet it is.

First of all, Rutkowski doesn't work for HBO anymore and he was part of their marketing team. And I listen to Rutkowski's podcasts, but as a disclaimer he always mentions how he has a lot of friends at DAZN that he used to work with at HBO.

Has to be him because why would anyone currently at HBO be remotely interested in what's going on at DAZN when they aren't a competitor.

So from March to April they added 400k+ subs to get them close to the million you're claiming they were at before Canelo/Jacobs?

That Fistianadospod account is Evan's Twitter account. And he was never an "HBO Exec". So I'm not getting people who agree with me as you claimed. I'm going straight to the person you've been using as a source. He's saying in March that they have less than 500k. So how did we get from less than 500k in March to almost a million in April? What drove all those subs for that month?

Ok if that's his Twitter account and he is saying that then cool fair enough. So he said in March they were less then 500k and by end of April he said they were close to 1M subscribers leading into canelo fight. So the answer is whatever they had on their schedule in March-Aoril and subscribers ordered the canelo fight early. I think they had Estrada rematch fight, Ryan Garcia fought, WBSS, they also launched MLB redzone show end of March early April, don't know what was else going on.

EDIT: Munguai also fought in April

So you think what you listed gets them almost 400k subscribers? The MLB show as stated has been a complete dud. WBSS? For the hardcores it is great, but that will be a subscription driver? Munguia? Really?

Come on man, think of what you're saying. Ratings all around boxing are dropping yet we are to believe the WBSS and Munguia helped drive up the subscribers? Only a select few boxers have that type of drawing power. Canelo is responsible for a large majority of the subscribers. And that is probably one reason he is upset that DAZN is telling him what to do since they would be essentially nothing without him.

That MLB show is a disaster. That show brought in a couple thousand since it's inception according to the Forbes article you posted on here and I posted another article saying the same

Estrada/SRR only sold a couple thousand tickets. That fight had no buzz at all.

There was nothing going on from mid March until the Canelo fight to have a couple hundred thousand subscribers sign up. The WBSS isn't bringing in subs like that. They can't even generate enough buzz to sell tickets.

And last but not least, if they did hit that historic 1 mil milestone why no press release from DAZN commentating it? They've had press releases every other time they got numbers they perceived as good. But they won't issue a press release saying they got the historic 1 mil sub mark??? They even did it for their YouTube when it surpassed the 250k mark.

But no press release saying they've hit the 1 mil sub benchmark?!?!?

We don't know what exactly what almost 1m subscribers figure was. But looking at their schedule they had a shyt load going on in March and April. And if you ordered the canelo fight a lot ordered in April. That obviously would be the biggest boost in subscriptions. And I don't know why you guys keep acting like MLB red zone show has brought zero subscribers. Or these other sports like Bellator which has had tv ratings on Paramount that are better then top rank and they send their version of PPV fights to DAZN. MLB, and all the other content out side boxing bring in less subscribers but they do have subscribers and all those smaller subscriptions add up

                    Baseball Push
DAZN’s U.S. push began when it won rights to 100 boxing matches a year and it’s been streaming fights since December. In April it added Major League Baseball with coverage that excludes live games but takes viewers to all the major ball parks for updates.

Baseball has brought it thousands of new subscribers, according to a person familiar with the company’s plans, who asked not to be identified discussing internal figures.

DAZN has grown by offering streamed sports for less than the prices typically charged by traditional pay-TV broadcasters. That’s brought it more than 4 million subscribers globally, of which around 1.2 million are in the U.S.

See how you lying first you said nobody subscribers for MLB now you lying saying they said only a couple thousands that's not what they saild they saild thousands who knows exactly what that number is. You the idiot who said in April that they didn't even have 200k subscribers which was another lie. If they had under 500K in March, end of April they have close to 1M subscribers a week before Canelo fight driven largely by Canelo fans who subscribed early for his fight. And stop this nonsense they didn't release press releases for other countries they are in when they cracked 1M subscribers...and YouTube has a phuking public counter where anyone can see how many users liked/subscribe to their channel you dummy what the phuk does a PR tweet about public YouTube channel have to do with DAZN not releasing private user data you dumb phuk? None of these streaming services release this type of data and when they do it's cryptic and random when they feel like it.

Your agenda is laughable you been wrong about their subscribers from day 1 and you have Execs, the CEO of the company both saying they were close to 1M subscribers in April the CEO said they willl be surpassing 1M subscribers by June...looks like they did that because Bloomberg saying they at 1.2M subscribers in July. Their creditability and word >>> You.
