LOL at leverage, he can sit for now because he has money, lets see what happens if they really play hardball and have the courts freeze his assets since he lives in the US.
If Canelo NEVER fights again on DAZN it will be one of the biggest blunders in business. That's what DAZN will be known for. DAZN's entire entrance into the US market was based around Canelo. He single-handedly is responsible for all their subscriptions right now. You take him to court and all those subscribers walk out the door with Canelo. Immediately there will be fans demanding refunds and suing them if they don't. You think that's what DAZN wants to be known for? The company that sabotaged itself in year 1 of breaking ground in the US? Never mind the fact that no other big name fighter will EVER sign with DAZN when they see how they treat their biggest star. It will be the end of DAZN taken serious in boxing and the end of DAZN in the United States.

Canelo is already rich as hell DAZN needs him more then he needs DAZN. If he contract is voided or he get's out his deal every other major network will throw money at him to sign him because he's by far the biggest star and draw of the sport. You take him to court he could just go back to Mexico who don't give a phuk about any US contracts he signed and he fights there. Canelo just put DAZN on time out. Making it clear to them that NOBODY tells Canelo who to fight. When he does fight it will be who he wants.

Are you kidding me? Anyone remember how people laughed at Canelo because "real Mexicans" supported GG? The guy gets a gift decision, fails a drug test, and people adore him because he refuses to fight for the company who was ****** enough to pay him 365 million.

I don't understand who is watching boxing anymore because it's sure not boxing fans acting like this.

Turn two of the biggest fights of his career in a trilogy? Yea, wild idea, I know.

I like checking out the Alvarez fanboys on this site because their spin is pathetic and hilarious at the same time.
That said, they don't know too much about boxing.
First the Fanchise title gift from the WBC so he can avoid Charlo, now this. "Diva" doesn't begin to describe what Canelo is trying to become ....

Careful now, because your answer pertains to canelo as well.

          no, I do not.....

I think that Golovkin continued using the exact same selection policy that he has been using for his entire career..... low-risk/low-reward

          #tiptoeingthroughthetulips

I can name about 9 occasions, where Golovkin selected the easiest possible opponent, despite there being much better opposition available..... Rolls was just the latest

They are here to stay. Streaming is taking over, everyone has smart devices and tvs. Hell, theyre barely even making anything but smart tvs anymore. They have people in their offices much smarter than you and i that know this is the future and arent ******** it on one guy and his demands.

Canelo might not need dazn but he needs a network and no ones going to want to throw millions at him with a free will contract like dazn has if this doesnt go well.
Guys with that much money don't simply throw money away. And DAZN's inability so far to pick up any real sports properties makes it clear that Blavatnik isn't the only one with money either.

Blavatnik will abandon this new way forward, and do what he's done in every other country that DAZN operates in; focus on tertiary sports and content from other markets to feed a niche audience looking for access to certain sports.

Cricket, beach volleyball, Winter baseball from Latin America, BellatorFC, junior league hockey, etc. Maybe they compete for XFL/CFL/Arena football, or Big3 basketball when that deal comes up (maybe even Top Rank Boxing were ESPN to move on from them), but that's about it.

Cost goes down, the audience likely goes down, but the margins likely become viable long-term, so Blavatnik can $2 for the $1 invested.

the ret4rded reasoning failed... so now it is time to send in the liars?

Eddie Hearn admitted he received an offer from GBP

you KNOW that DAZN refused to approve Andrade

                  you know this LMAO
                  Fckng bullshit!

This is what Hearn actually said about that so-called "offer"

"I spoke with Eric Gomez and [Golden Boy matchmaker] Robert Diaz and they asked if Demetrius would be available to fight Canelo in September," Hearn told ESPN on Wednesday. "The answer is a big yes and although I don't think we are first choice, it's the undisputed fight and one Demetrius would be 100 percent ready for. We will see what happens over the next few days."

And this was the response from Team Diva:

"Gomez acknowledged the discussion with Hearn but said Alvarez also has other options."

Canelo fights who he wants I don't know why people don't get it by now. He chose who he fought on HBO, then on Showtime, then back on HBO and now on DAZN. He won't let a belt org tell him who he has to fight, didn't let Showtime or HBO tell him who to fight and idiots thought DAZN was going to? LMAO

He just put DAZN on time out and made it clear to them you need me more then I need you. These fighters aren't ****** and you can't tell them who they have to fight. And what's crazy is Canelo has proved every where he's been he will take tough fights. Every network tried to sign him last fall and if he leaves DAZN every network be calling. His track record proves he will make fights fans want to see and big fights. Meanwhile good luck DAZN trying to get another big name to sign with you without Canelo. You lose probably 75% of your subscribers the moment Canelo walks out the door and nobody will take them serious ever again. It will be company suicide. Him making a point to DAZN and not fighting in Sept just to make it clear to them you can't tell me who to fight is probably going to cost 10's if not hundreds of Millions in lost revenue. Because GGG fighting Munguai is not going to do shyt for DAZN subscribers. Joshua ain't fighting again until MAYBE Nov? And oh shyt if that fight ends up going to the UK and the fight airs at phuking Noon in the US. If DAZN is smart they kiss this man's azzz and never interfere with who he wants to fight.

not when Canelo has full control over his opponent selection

and we know that Canelo has full control over his opponent selection..... because Canelo is not fighting Golovkin next LMAO

the second DAZN even think like that, their career in boxing is over..... who would ever trust them, or sign with them?

this is the position that DAZN are now in.....

they now realize that attempting to manipulate Canelo will net them 0 reward..... they are a content provider, and yet..... Canelo is the guy who provides the content

Canelo will likely have much less problems arranging his opponent for December
