I was explaining how the rules work regarding catchweight title fights. Your problem is that you can't even think about boxing without bringing fanboy nonsense like that into it.

SRL and Lalonde fought for the WBC SMW and LHW titles at 168. Ward and Dawson could have done the same, if Dawson had agreed to it and the WBC had sanctioned it.

But aside from that...

Name me some fights where a guy fought at his highest weight class, for instance Canelo at 168 vs Fielding, and then GOING DOWN to 164 as you say, from an even bigger fighter than Fielding such as Kovalev at LHW.

YOu KNOW the usual practice would be for Canelo to CAP at lets say 169 against Kovalev NOT 164.
