    Just so the world knows.....

one of DAZN first acts since joining the boxing fraternity.....

refuse to approve a world title fight that would determine the undisputed unified middleweight champion of the world

that fight is right there, DAZN has both fighters..... but, DAZN would not " approve " the matchup

thanks DAZN, keep up the good work

I don't know though..... Canelo or his team could have applied for an exception. Also, how do we know Canelo even wants that fight?

On paper only. A fight between a guy with a disputed win against a guy with no significant wins is not that.

Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez is free and clear to fight whomever he chooses for his next fight. Within reason and still by sanctioning body rules, mind you. The reigning World middleweight champion—fresh off of a 12-round win over Daniel Jacobs to unify three alphabet titles (in addition to his lineal championship)—was recently ordered by the International Boxing Federation to next defend versus his mandatory challenger, Sergiy Derevyanchenko.

The thread is about DAZN not allowing the fight not IBF.

              Not undisputed, Canelo got stripped.

It's beyond ******ed but Charlo is the WBC champ at 160 now. Ring champ? Lineal? Sure. Undisputed? No.

My point was about how this mandatory wouldn't even have been called had Canelo's team asked for an exception.

I know we've seen DAZN say they've approved of two opponents but have we really seen them say they'll stand in the way of a title defense?

Depends how you view it. I view it like the WBA super and regular. When there's a super champ the regular doesn't mean ****. Canelo is the champ, not Charlo.

You dont know that they "refused" it. For all you know (which is nothing), Golden Boy has not even submitted Andrade as a possible opponent. You havent the slightest idea.

                    As usual.
