    LOL Kovalev makes more fighting basically unknown mandatory than fighting Canelo, how ****ing greedy can they be? Disgusting. Then they probably also try to drain him and put a rehydration clause on Kovalev and dozens of other disadvantages like Canelo usually does.

    Canelo vs Kovalev is a MUCH bigger fight than Canelo vs Jacobs. Give Kovalev same money as you gave Jacobs and its a fight and for once stay away from draining your opponent.

        gbp gave jacobs 2.5mil, the other 10 mil came from DAZN, if kova wants to get some of that DAZN money then he is fighting in the wrong network...

            This is a great fight, of course perfectly timed by GB, Kovalev won't be able to catch Canelo good legacy building fight for Canelo.

              I fanboys tend to suffer with literacy but try reading the article;
              "... But to get less money for fighting Canelo than he’ll make in Russia to fight [Yarde], come on. We just can’t do that.”

                Canelo-Bivol would also be a good fight, bivol said numerous times he would be willing to move down to 168. Unfortunately it’s high risk low reward from a marketing standpoint

                  Ur not wrong. I think Kovalev should take it, and then retire if he loses bad. But if you think the last guy got overpaid then is it not fair u would want to be too? And fair is an objective view, and it’s hard to tell how much profit the other fighter brought in. If Kovalev v Nelo makes more than v Jacobs then is that fair if he got much less? They could give Kovalev zero and the ppv price would be the same to fans. Boxing is all about precedent. Never been about fair. These are promoters though, fair is not what they are looking for. They are negotiating with several people, that’s so u can see who will take the least against ur perceived profit. Is Kovalev really gonna end up taking 6 and look like a genius when the card tanks? Course he could quit in the first round that’s getting overpaid in a way, but not really cause the money is already there. We get screwed. Sigh.

                      No way Canelo will fight Kovalev. That lowball offer was just cover for DAZN (wanting big fights) if they go with Mungia. Typical GBP move.

                      Andrade will be the fight if they actually take some risk. But I have a feelng it will be Mungia.

                      It won't be Kovalev, lol. Kov (Noodles per Beterbiev) would quit drinking and wear a cup so he could bust up Nelo.

                      It's an interesting thought though. Alvarez weighed 172 - 173 for the Mayweather fight, what, five years ago? He could easily have been fighting at LHW way back then.
