Come on. You know what I am talking about. Even Errol Spence said the same thing. How all the black Legend rooted against him and all the Mexican legends rooted for Mikey. You have people like Robert Garcia talking about rooting for Mexicans boxers. Michael Pena saying Robert Garcia has to train Mikey because it black vs Mexicans. Look at how Black Americans celebrating Joshua lost. I hang around black people a lot. And see it among them. On Twitter too

I don't think any of the "black legends" were rooting for Mikey. A couple of them said they liked his chances against Spence, but that doesn't mean they were rooting for him.

I was rooting for Rocky Fielding against Canelo, but that didn't make me believe he was going to do it.

Not taking anything away from Usyk or your post. But yes Usyk is Elite in Cruiser weight.

It will take a year or two to find out if he’s also elite in HW.

if the fighter is not known outside of the UK they get chanted "who are ya?" constantly (which I find hilarious btw)



and I see nothing wrong with that. For example a UK fight fan backs a fighter thats from the UK.... nothing wrong with that either. Patriotism helps in supporting a said fighter from whatever country they are from.

But thats a traditional football (soccer) chant mate. People shout that at other UK teams. Maybe youre talking more of the crowd support, i was talking about sites like this, where i see everyone backing their own. Like you say, nothing wrong with it, human nature, but nationality has never stopped me being a fan of other countries fighters. That's always been a good thing about boxing fans, the way guys like Duran could fight anywhere and almost become the home fighter due to the fans respect.

That is true, look at Broner the guy is a serial loser but still gets loads of title shots and before everyone of them loads of American fans claim he is going to become World champion again. Of course I wouldn't say all American fans because that would be bigoted stereotyping.
