I hope this is just a bargaining ploy to get a better deal fighting Kovalev or Andrade. At this point, a Canelo vs Mungia fight is a non-starter for me. As much as I detest Golovkin and his whiny crew, I prefer that Canelo fight Golovkin rather than Mungia.

Solid fight, they were gonna cash out Mungunia and Im glad they do him justice by letting him get the Canelo payday!

He should fight Vargas or Teixeira.
While I don't think neither Canelo or Triple g should fight Munguia since they are both level's above him, it's totally different if Canelo fights him instead of Triple g.
The difference is that Canelo just fought Daniel Jacob's and he is willing to fight Sergei Kovolav (another dangerous fight) while Triple g isn't willing to take huge risk's against top competition cause he wants to preserve his opportunity for another Canelo pay day..
So Triple g is only willing to take easy fights while Canelo is willing to take risk's...

Jumping up to 160 isn't a bad idea but fighting either out the gate could ruin his career.
Hopefully this is like past fights where they make a offer to the real opponent and he doesn't want to sign trying to squeeze more money so what does Oscar do makes a offer to lesser guy to put pressure it gets out to the media to get the real fight done. He's done this in the past throwing Lemieux's name out there, did it with Jacobs too. I think Kovalev is the real fight they want and Munguia is the bait to tell them if you price yourself out someone else can get that fight.

When is someone going to willingly say that they are considering Andrade as an opponent? Dude has a belt & these guys act like he doesn't exist. I like em all but c'mon now.
