In the right circumstances I'm sure he would...would he right now face Zurdo at 175 for a belt and big money? Probably...Kovalev? Probably not...not too much money there and they are friendly...Bivol or Gvozdyk...probably if the money is right...but it wouldn't really be right enough...if there was a big legacy fight there for decent money I'm sure he would take it, probably at the full 175 weight imo...kind of a high reward low risk fight when you go up in weight like that...so it is a big risk in a way but in other ways it is the easy way out.
If he had gotten the Canelo decisions who knows what his next moves would be...either keep rematching Canelo as often as Canelo would want it/as long as it made money...or he would move up for a big fight at 168 or 175...so yeah in the right circumstances I think he would.
No hate for Canelo though for wanting that at 170 though...if Kov agrees and can make it, why not...now if Kov looked awful at 170 and couldn't rehydrate, then obviously that takes away from a Canelo win there...but when you're the A-side you call the shots...would be nice if everyone could agree on what's fair and fight on those terms...but that happens about 1 time out of 100...all the other times, the A side makes the rules.
