I keep fantasizing about a day when all the sanctioning bodies are things of the past. When the fees they charge and moronic decisions and mandatories they pass get the top fighters ticked enough they all drop belts and this historic sport is free of one layer of the three (Sanctioning bodies, promoters, network exclusives) that prevent the best fighting in the biggest event bouts.

I dream of an Alphabet free world.

D.Andrade never “beat a world champion” to get his belt, yet you don’t hear this type of talk from no one else. Whyte & co. are hypocrites, it’s obvious. No one cares about their struggle, they put themselves in this situation

If Wilder is named the new "WBC Franchise" champion , Whyte doesn't really get the WBC world title , Charlo got it becasue he was holding an Interim belt.

This is an obvious set up by the WBC. they knew Whyte had them cornered for a shot at Wilder and so they invented this 'franchise' champion to keep Wilder safe from him and Hearn was planning to take legal action so the WBC have pulled a clever one. Seems like the WBC uses them for all the sanctioning fees then the new belt conveniently came along when the mandatory should have come instead.

Wilder had no problem with fighting Whyte, and even going to UK to do it, on the proviso Hearns guaranteed Joshua next. Hearns would not committ to it.

That model wouldn’t work, just too many complications would accure with trying to get ESPN and PBC or anyone to arrange a yearly unification unification. It’s way to bent to get this together

You need someone with to create a UFC type model with just the one champion in each weight catergory and a fair but simple ranking system, eliminate all current promotors and ABC organisations and let the networks bid for the fights when made. One day, we can dream..

What I'm saying is similar to that, except PBC will be UFC and TR will be Bellator with the option for unification. Let's face it, we don't see cross promotional fights outside of the low levels anyway. I am more than happy giving up on the idea, letting each side do their own thing, and if the money is great they'll figure a way to make it happen.

At least with 1 belt, canelo will be forced to face Andrade and Thurman will be forced to face Spence. It's time to codify what has been the de facto practice in boxing.
